Great place for a morning walk / run. I now come here often. Have a nice coffee after the run at the café. Great place to unwind in otherwise dead city.
We finished of our weekend away with a long walk in the woods here on a crisp sunny March afternoon. It's a great place to unwind get away from it all and has a nice little cafe overlooking the lake!
Beautiful to walk in, cycle through, have lunch at the cafe or be adventurous and have a thrill with 'Go Ape' or try your hand on Segways. You may even catch some filming as Pinewood Studios is next door. Fabulous for children with a lovely adventure play area.
Great facilities, disabled trackways are great and there is plenty of space for everyone whether you're on your own, walking the dog or out with friends and family. Highly recommended and easy to park.
When you walk in Black Park you can quickly forget city lights. You are immediately immersed in another world. We love to walk often down the many paths and reward ourselves with a hot cappuccino at the end of the walk.
Being set just behind Pinewood studios this park is used for a lot of hollywood movies. Great for long walks and taking out the dogs. There is also a Go Ape located here.
Haven’t been to this Park for about 10 years as I’ve moved from the area. I used to come here as a child back in the day when you didn’t pay for car park, you got high powered model boats, you were allowed to swim in the lake and the little café (now gone) didn’t charge stupid prices! I used to like the rustic side of the place, luckily I know where to park for free (near the studios). Back there it’s less screaming kids and even less screaming mothers! It is nice to see the Country Park busy but it can make it clinical.
Nice place to go for a dog walk or to take children for a run. There is a pleasant café for a drink and a snack and a big lake where children can play with their radio control boats. Unfortunately you have to pay to park your car in the park, but we will definitely go back with our dog.
great place to walk with the family, on a nice day a good place for a picnic, can get busy and car park can get full up also lots of dogs if you have small kids they are a nuicance- not the dogs but their inconsiderate owners
We wanted a nice open place for a family walk with our dog where he could be let off the lead (and the kids!). I used to come here as a kid and it was great then, so I thought it was time for a return visit. It has changed a bit over the last 30/40 years! In 'the good old days', we'd turn up up, park and walk, play in the lake (and maybe retrieve our dog from the lake too). Now there is a 'Go Ape' in the tree tops, an adventure playground for the kids and a fairly large cafe by the lake. A large area around the lake is now fenced and has various restrictions now applied: Dogs on leads, no cycling, no swimming, no fishing, etc etc. You now have to pay for parking too, but apparently the place is now self funded and the parking money goes to maintaining the place. So, if you want open spaces, dogs off the lead, cycling and freedom, go left from the car park. If you want kid friendly, play areas and cafe, head to the right.Overall, still a great place to go for a walk and fresh air.
I needed some nice place for Sunday walk and this park was perfect choice. I was surprise that car park was fully packed on Sunday 4pm. Nice cafe at entry however i was upset that they dont serve SOYA milk there...At this this time of year park seems to be a heaven for dogs and kids who love to jump into a puddles:P Anyway good to know about this iconic place when you need a bit of peace. 3,5 F for parking is only real drawback..
Very peaceful. Lots of nice walking, family friendly and lots of parking. Easy access too, off Uxbridge Road
Other then parking fee which at £4 is a touch over priced this really is a beautiful park with lots of excellent features such as 'go ape', a lake, a playground and a nice restaurant. My kids love it here and it provides an enjoyable and inexpensive day out.
Lovely area of woodland and lake with lots of firm paths. Cafe is really nice and was re-vamped outside in 2014 so really good outside space. Nice coffee and hot chocolate and the food is pretty good in general.
Just outside London , near to the iconic Pinewood studios . If your lucky you will see a film set in the park . Great cafe with good wholesome food
