Great driving range, pich and putt and putting. Also a 9 hole golf course, all are great value. Pleasant staff and polite. Great value, highly recommended. Not sure if club hire is available.
Fairly pricey for hitting a few balls.Electronic tees are good though. Especially to change the height of the ball for use with different clubs.
I visited the driving range today with my dad. I've been to many driving ranges but this was the worst. The balls were so worn they were almost smooth. So no chance of a true ball flight. Complete waste of money.Go to braid hills instead.
Was enjoying my 1st 3 holes then the guys in front of us started stamping in our balls and hitting them out the way...When I reported this to the staff I was told not to over react and it was fine..,Then I told him my round was now ruined and asked if there was anything he could do I was told NO!!! nothing So I was unhappy..... I told the guy this was out of order and he told me I was to leave stop over reacting so I had to walk to the nearest bus stop.....I don't know about you guys but golf is meant to be a relaxing game how can you relax when some nutter is on the course like a bull in a china shop and we are the bad ones who are told to leave the course???????
We go to the golf centre to use the driving range. For £24 we get four clubs (tailored to our needs; two childrens' drivers, a woman's and a mans seven iron) and 100 balls each. The range is never overcrowded and most bays have electronic tees, which delight and fascinate my kids! You can, of course, keep the cost down by providing your own clubs. We love it, not too snobby to not allow kids or beginners, but well tended and well maintained. A great way to spend Saturday afternoon before you consider the pub options.
Was staying at the nearby Premier Inn with a friend and decided to kill some time here. I had been to a driving range before but my friend had not, and we both enjoyed ourselves. We were pleasantly surprised that it was only £6 for 100 balls, and the club hire was free. Good place to go if you want to practice, or even if you've never played before.
Played the course the day it opened and took photos back then to commemorate the event.Several years later the trees are still not mature and as this course is very short is not a huge test of any seasoned golfer. But any golf course should be enjoyed for what it offers and this settled amongst countless other renowned courses can be a relaxing boost to any handicapper's day.Day one I shot a 70 and usually shoot 85 on longer courses.Love it and come away with under 70 one day.
Course is short and easy walking with a slight hill and 9 holes. Has a great range and practice putting area, nothing fancy just the basic.
I am new to golf and had an excellent first experience at Melville Golf.I began with the driving range with its Powertee which I think brilliant for beginner like myself.Following week I played 9 hole with friends. The green were lovely.Staffs are friendly and very helpful. Looking forward to play again there.
Just spent last Saturday with my grandchildren at Melville Golf Centre, the kids loved the days entertainment, starting with the driving range, then on to the putting, stopped for lunch and then took them on the short game area. At the end of the day I had two very tired children. The only fault I found was at the range there could have been a picnic area as I had packed a picnic lunch. There was a Table Table pub which we would eat at next time.
had a round of golf on a very windy day though thought this was a bit pricey for midweek but the soup was lovely and main plentiful
I am a keen golfer along with my husband. We come here regulary as it is a nice place to golf asides from it's loaction which is beside a busy road. However the greens are lovely and the staff are friendly.
Very handy from the hotel. You can easily walk back and fore
