Yyteri Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in the whole country. Safety for the younger children. Worth to visit.
Extra tip visit off season! If u are a person who loves the miracles of nature then sure ull be impressed by this one ive visited it at the end of summer and in the heart of winter... the cenery was breath taking!Looong sandy beach with high sand dunes from one side and the calm water of the day on the other. All these combined with the melancholic colors of the Finish sky makes a unique experience!
Long sandy beach, shallow water good for small children. Hotel next to the beach, beach bar on the beach. Wind surfing. Snack and burger place near the hotel. Small kids play area. Lots to do for all ages.
Yyteri-beach is the best in Finland. It is not artificial and has its natural charm preserved. It is shame that the season is lo short.
Lovely long almost white-sanded beach close to Pori. Absolutely fantastic way to spend a hot sunny summer-day! There are toilets and Yyteri Spa Hotel restaurants available. Otherwise I recommend to take your own lunch box and simply enjoy life.
Soft white sand...calm and warm sea...shallow water. Over 4 km beach is something for everyone...families...couples. There is hardly any places of shade so get prepaid if you can't stand the heat. On the other end of the beach there is hotel in 200 metres from the beach and there you'll find a terrace restaurant
Remember to take enough water if you are going to spend whole day at the beach!!Ofcourse you can find a bar at the beach but it is the simpliest way to bring with you.The bikini bar is also good and situated near the hotelbeach.
Wonderful beach but you need to go prepared. Hard to find a restaurant or a place with shade. The rest is amazing!
Yyteri beach is so marvelous! its so peaceful and nice. water is so limpid. soft sand. pine trees and so freash air! i recomment everyone to visit this great place!
We spent a very sunny and hot day at "Yyterin sannat". The beach stretches for about six kilometres and it is unique in Finland. Yyteri has also many distinctive dunes. We were disappointed by the facilites. There were only few toilets, which had ran out of paper already in the morning and they were very unclean. It was also a long way to walk from the beach to the toilets.
Beautiful nature, clean beach and so soft sand to walk bare feet. If we only could trust in finnish weather and sun :) there would be no need to fly far away to Mediterranean to have a nice holiday by the sea and enjoy the sandy beaches, Yyteri beach surroundings would be enough and more ecological choice for finnish people.
Ok, let's face it if your looking for surf spots in Finland you're in the wrong end of the world. However, all is not lost. Yyteri is in fact one of the few places in Finland where you get a surfable wave at times although wind surfing and paddle boarding is in fact a more frequent choice around these parts. If you realize by now that you left your board at home, fear not, the local surf center (Yyteri surfkeskus) located just north of the spa hotel, along the beach carries an adequate set of boards and wetsuits. The boad rentals are around 15 € per hour and they offer lessons too. Please not that if the weather is great, probably all equipment will be rented out so book in advance. Parking can be hard to find at times but snacks and drinks are available at a small bar between the hotel and the surf center. They even offer the use of sauna at affordable prices (about 5 €) which is great if the weather is cold, and the water will most likely be cold anyway. :)All in all a great beach with a laid back feel. Do visit if you're in the area, you don't get dunes this far north in every town.
Exceptional waterfront in these latitudes. When you walk towards Mäntyluoto direction, there is a reed bed area with variety of wading birds, swallows and swans etc. The woods behind the sand flourish withTwinflower (Linnaea) and Moneses uniflora (One-flowered Wintergreen). The area is beautiful either you walk in the waterfront or in the Nature Trail in the woods. And in a sunny warm day you can enjoy the sea and the sun on the beach.
Yyteri is like to be in Canary Islands, from the view. Be sure that there is a hot day, so You dont' freeze so much.
Go there in winter. Everyone knows how a beach looks like in summer (sun, blue water, sand and so on), what makes Yyteri truly exceptional is the winter. Go there and enjoy the gentle pink shades the setting sun throws in the early afternoon. Walk on the frozen sea and smile! This doesn't happen on most beaches you have seen!
