Good parking areas close to the main gate. Beside the zoo you can find outside swimming pool, mini golf and picnic area. Inside the zoo is cafes, kiosk, restaurants, two picnic places with complimentary open fire and some playgrounds for the smallest in the family. Only thing I could wish more is better restrooms but those are already now better than in many places I've visited.

Very nice place to spend all day with family. Zoo area is big so get ready for a lot of walking... İt is good to take some snacks with you. Many kinds of animals, children and adults will like it.

3 Brits and a Swede (Who lives in the area), he wasn't expecting much due to not visiting in years but we were very pleasantly surprised. It was a very good day out, you get to see a wide variety of animals huge and tiny. The enclosures are all nice and the animals look lively and healthy.Would definitely go again next time I'm in Sweden.

This is a great adventure for the whole family. I'm here at least once every year. They have many different animals and it comes very close to them. They build on here sometimes, they get new animals, and it feels like Borås Djurpark really care about their animals.

I'm not a frequent zoo visitor, but I have to say that it's what you expect and fun to go too. The car park is huge so plenty of space to park, easy access to the turnstiles/payment area.As you go in, don't let the plastic dinosaurs put you off, it gets better. It kind of slowly and gentle lures you into the exciting animals the more you get into the park. It's a big place with lots of areas for the animals. You will not be disappointed at all and there are tigers, lions, bears, monkeys and much more. With the room the animals have, they are very active and you can get really up close to them - although many would say it's not right for animals to be in a zoo, we have to accept they are here and they have a great deal of room compared to what you see in other places. If you have mobility issues then check first as the first part of the walk is an uphill climb to some of the enclosures, so check about transportation etc. There is a lot of things for the kids to do and you can eat in a few places, take a nice cream or relax in some of the designated rest spots

Nice place to visit with kids. If it is sunny day then that is the best. There are quite a few animals and in healthy condition. Specially Tigers / Lions are very good. They have made nice facility to see these BIG animals from near by. small garden for little kids is also good where they can touch and feel goats , cows. Very nice.If you are taking your food with you , you will get plenty of places where you can sit and have it. In middle of Zoo , they have kept microwave as well which is more useful. Overall very good day spent with Wife and Kids.

It's a mini zoo for the youngest ones.Usually i don't like zoos because a lot of animals are in captivity and sharing a minimal space. Borås Zoo is not better than any other zoos on that Point. But the place is worth spending a visit over a day introducing the kids for the most known animals like monkeys, zebras, giraffes, lions and so on.

We spent the entire day At the zoo, it's in lovely surroundings, lots of places for the kids to plAy, toilets were very clean, there were plenty of BBQ huts and places to eat and drink. We were lucky to see all the animals being fed, baby elephants giraffe and even lion cubs were seen easily in their enclosures. The only thing that I didn't quite like was that you hAd to pay extra for ponny riding, the train rode, mini tractors and digging mAchines which added another £7 on to the enterance fee. But apart from that I would highly recommend visiting the zoo. Will shall return .

Boras Djurpark is a truly great experience. It doesn't host a big variety in species, but it has beautiful and big exhibits, focusing on large animals, very friendly atmosphere and free coffee! Animals are all in great shape, the lion cubs are cute. A day well spent!

A bit before the normal entrance there is a booth where you can buy the ticket yourself, but you still have to stand in another queue to enter. A shorter one (hopefully) but still. So if the normal queue is not so long I would skip the buying a ticket in the booth. I would also recommend you not to eat in the Savann restaurant but instead walk to the Tex Mex Place close to the bears. Not so crowded and probably also better food. You don't have to bring a lot of water bottles. There a many places in the park where you can fill up your water bottles with drinking water. The parking outside the park cost 30SEK for 24hours so it is not so expensive.

Animal lovers will get a great day out if visiting Boras zoo. The animals here are in many different parts together in a large area.Easy to walk around and little to large get a good view to watch them in a nice environment .They seem to be well looked after and to be a zoo,it's a lovely one.

I am so happy this zoo is in my home city I get a year pass every season and go there whenever the weather is nice. they have a nice collection of animals and they seem to be treated very well. make sure you go to their homepage and see the feeding times for the day you are going. it's the best opportunity to see some of the shy animals. If you are only going once make sure you have at least 4 hours. I usually go 4 hours the first time every year and then I just go back to take pictures of the animals I like the most.

This Zoo is a good Zoo and I believe that they have genuine interest in the animals welfare and life.Getting around it easy and what I’m about to say probably is more a statement to the size of Borås and Sweden than anything else. The admittance is quite some money for a whole family and what you get to see is little compared to places elsewhere in the world.Seeing everything takes far less than a full day and the second round is not as much fun as the first, nor is the third. On the other hand, Borås hasn’t got that many all family attractions, so in that category it is outstanding.

Visiting the zoo was a great experience for the grandchildren. Lots of animals. Huge displays. Great walking paths. There was lots to see. There was horseback riding, driving small cars, and other experiences for the children. Each of these adventures were over much too quickly and cost a disproportionate amount for what we received.....If the recollections are correct, entry price for adults was almost $15. Which were certainly more than enough..... But the kids had fun, they came home happy, tired, pleased. Grandpa had no problems with all the walking. If you have grandchildren, this is certainly worth a visit. One time.

My family and I spent a very enjoyable day out at the "Borås Djurpar" (Animal Park) in May. The park is huge and hilly, so prepare for some walking! For 30 Swedish Krona we loaned a cart / trolley from just beyond the ticket office for my 3 year old to sit in, as it would have been too much for him to walk around all day. A good tip for families! The animals had lots of space to roam in, and good habitat, so in general I would describe it as one of the better animal parks I have visited. The bear enclosure was particularly good. May was low season, so many of the ice-cream/coffee kiosks around the park were not yet open. During peak season I would imagine you are never far from refreshments. The park also has numerous BBQ stations, so you can bring your own food and cook yourself! There were also lots of playgrounds scattered around, so the kids were never bored. My only negative comment about the park is that they need to have more ticket offices open for the 10am opening, at as the queue/line-up was long and took nearly 40 minutes to pay and get in.Definitely a place to visit with the family!
