An interesting walk down into the valley. And beyond if you wish. Of particular interest is the source of the water for the aqueduct running from here to Nimes and of course across the Pont du Gard.

This contains the resurgent spring that the Romans used to provide water for Nimes. The water was carried in an aqueduct whose main artefact was the spectacular Pont du Gard. There are parts of the aqueduct exposed in the vally.

A very good park, tucked away in the valley to the east of the town, it has moving water, exercise circuits and plenty of grass for children to run around on. The views are good and the steep cliffs enclosing the valley majestic...and for added interest, there are remains of the Roman aquaduct that ran to the Pont du Gard and on to Nimes....how much more can you get in a small town park??? A great place to go to find shade when it is hot!!!

Have a wonder around the market and fill your picnic basket to take down to the river, for a lovely afternoon in the sun or in the shade.

The Pont du Gard is probably the most famous Roman aqueduct in the world with its three tiers of arches taking water from a gushing spring at Uzes, along 50km of aqueduct winding around a valley, across the Gardon river via the Pont, and arriving at Nimes, just 3 metres lower.The start of the water's journey is in a beautiful large park in Uzes, which can be reached from town on foot via a fairly steep path down the hill, or from a car park at the bottom.A nice path along the edge of the stream takes you to the source, which some 2000 years after the Romans first tapped it is still supplying Uzes with it's drinking water. The water is gushing out at this point just below some of the original aqueduct, more of which can be found as you trace its path for about 1.5km before it runs into private property.It makes for great day out to see the beginning of the water's journey, then visit the Pont du Gard then finish at Nimes at the castellum where the water was distributed via 9 lead pipes through the town.

Les enfants adorent, il y a des canards partout, des petits ponts !C'est frais et ombragé, mais assez boueux quand il a plu (eh oui ça arrive). Pas très bien carrossé pour les poussettes mais surtout les fauteuils roulants !

angenehmer Ort zum Picknicken, im Sommer schattig und angenehm kühl. Die Eure durchfliesst dieses kleine Tal , und man kann am Wasser entlang spazierengehen .

Magnifique endroit, ou les lycéens peuvent aller y faire un tour entre leurs cours, et pendant les révisions. Agréable ruisseau en contre-bas. Je conseille fortement cette endroit.

Fermez les yeux et imaginez fortement l'Eden. Ouvrez vos yeux et vous découvrirez une vallée belle, calme, reposante. En son milieu coule une rivière l'Alzon qui serpente, son eau frisonne au gré du vent. Ce lieu est tellement majestueux que l'eau coule sans faire de bruit. Des canards et cygnes se promènent majestueux souvent accompagnés d'une nombreuse progéniture. Pour entretenir votre forme physique un parcours de santé est installé. Si vous vous sentez une âme d'archéologue vous pourrez voir les vestiges des conduites d'eau qui alimentaient Nîmes via le pont du Gard. Ce n'est certainement pas un lieu cinq étoiles, mais il est considéré comme un havre de paix.Si vos pas vous mènent vers le pavillon Racine et la terrasse vous aurez un magnifique panorama.

Idéal pour aller faire une promenade en famille quand la ville est écrasée de chaleur. Ici vous marcherez au bord de l'eau à l'ombre des platanes.

Superbe endroit au calme, loin du tumulte, très reposant. Beaucoup d'ombres, verdoyant, spacieux. Idéal pour un moment de détente et pique-niquer en famille.

Un très bel endroit où le calme et la sérénité sont les maitres mots.Dans la journée, vous pourrez vous y "réfugier" pour y trouver un peu de fraicheur ou tout du moins un peu d'ombre, pique niquer ou se balader mais personnellement c'est le matin où j'y ai pris le plus de plaisir à m'y promener.Quelques joggers, les gens du coin qui promènent leur chien et surtout profiter de la fraicheur avant que le soleil ne commence à chauffer !!!

Nous nous sommes régalé , beaucoup d'endroit pour pique niquer , balade agréable et ombragée . La nature dans toute sa splendeur . Un vrai coup de coeur

joli parc vivant, verdoyant et ombragé avec une jolie source et de beaux vestiges. parfait endroit pour une balade relaxante, un footing quotidien, un match de foot improvisé ou même un rdv romantique. à partager seul, en couple, en famille ou entre amis.
