We were staying in the area, on our cycling trip, fantastic views over the country side you can see for miles.. The village is just charming, so old and rustic, nice little shops and restaurants, so glad I had a camera.
The village was attractive and full of nooks and crannies of interest. There were also some interesting shops where one could buy unusual articles such as delightful little metal birds with authentic colourings.
This is one of the prettiest villages anywhere in France and we took a lot of photos. Everywhere you look is a great view or a pretty scene - an essential visit for serious photographers. Lots of nice restaurants and bars. Fantastic!
This is a must village in Provence to visit, very quaint, extremely friendly and if you're looking for a place to take in a true French experience, this is the place to go!!
Le village dans le ciel ... no doubt you're in heaven... simply have a coffee in the morning at Bar des Ormeaux and you know why!
This little beauty was in the foothills of the French alps and was so beautiful to visit and get a real feel for Southern France. The architecture is amazing and the town just speaks of beauty and a French love story. We loved our week getaway here, it was like a holiday away from a holiday
A real gem in the heart of Provence - well worth a visit if you're in the area. Stunning 360 degree views.
Tourtour is a beautiful place with stunning scenery in a rural idyll. It does feel a little contrived to the extent that one suspects that there are strict rules about the maintenance of the external fabric of the buildings but that is not a bad thing. The scenery, however, could not be contrived and it is worth the visit for that alone.
Tourtour is a beautiful little village, with amazing views over the surrounding countryside, quaint lovely shops and nice people.. We spent the afternoon here, taking it easy, relaxing while having an afternoon drink, and walking around the vilage. Find it peaceful and kind, and got us a bit nostalgic.
Tourtour is a charming, small old village, definitely worth a visit if you're in the surroundings. Especially the view on the hills at the church is amazing!
II think its impossible not to be charmed by this beautiful little village, some great views over the surrounding countryside and the little tree lined square with its quaint and colourful little shops are an absolute delight. The sound of the Church bells and the gentle pace of life made you want to instantly retire here, had a few drinks in one of the 2-3 cafes in the square and i could have honestly stayed there forever, it was so relaxing and completely free of stress. A truly picture postcard scene and represents the very best of French village life, we had intended to stay for just 1 hour, but stayed for almost half a day and left with the batteries totally recharged and frankly wishing to retire here, simply beautiful and really quite envious. Well done Tourtours, i think i have fallen in love with you.
Tourtour is a lovely village-not much there but enough to justify a walk from where we stayed (Domaine de la Baume). We went to the saturday market at Aups. My wife knows her markets & she rated this one very highly.
This is a lovely village with magnificent views. If in this region a visit, winter or summer, is a must.
Delightful village square with attractive cafes and restaurants. A few very interesting shops, sadly closed by the time we arrived in the evening. We found an amazing small vegetable garden just off centre beautifully tended by someone who cares enough and has an eye for homespun decoration which is always the best. Good views from town.
To be see but you have more pleasure to stay also at the Domaine de la Baume. You have a nice central area with restaurants and café : good idea to take some good time under the platans.
