My wife and I visited the aquarium on a Sunday visit to the coast. It is a nice aquarium. Bigger than I expected and very informative displays, in both French and English. Would be good for kids as well. A little pricey at 20€.

Visited this centre on a cold rainy day in January. Labels in both French and English. Short demonstrations of feeding the animals by staff and was relieved to see they only fed the Sharks by pole! A very wide range of fish to admire in the many zones. The admission charge might seem steep at first but with a stop for a snack in the cafe, we were inside for over 2 hours.

Little bit outdated 'museum' in à little bit outdated city. But, The children really liked. And there were some beautiful fishes around! Miracles of the sea.

An amazing acquarium with all sorts of fish from cold water to sea lions, from alligators to sharks. It is by the seaside and the location make it more appealing. Its quite busy because has half term, and there was therefore many children. It is however an artificial man made space for animals, made me sad also to see the creatures out of the local environment, but is ceratinly educative.

A well thought out sea life centre with plenty to fascinate both old and young, All information in French and English. We spent over 2 hours walking around the 20 themed areas, highlight was the seal display. At first I thought E18.80 entry for an adult ticket was expensive but well worth the money. Highly recommended!

Nausicaa is well laid out, modern, bright and airy with lots of original touches to keep the fussiest viewer happy for hours. A combination of the live exhibits, plenty of video and written information and varying levels kept everyone on their toes. Not surprisingly cost of entry is significant so make the most of your visit. At peak times eating and drinking inside is very hectic. Best use the various cafes just across the road for drinks, snacks or meals

This was a welcome place to go on a rainy day and my 10 year old daughter loved it. Spooky lighting! 2h was perfect.

Had a lovely trip to the aquarium in Bolougne-sur-Mer. Loved the sharks! Definitely worth a visit!Look out for Le Shuttle offers as we paid €8 for our tickets instead of €18.

We visited today with our children aged 9 & 7. We picked up some discount vouchers from the Euro Tunnel terminal at Folkstone which meant we had half price entry and personally whilst I think that price we paid was reasonable value for money, I would have felt it was expensive at the full price (although my husband disagrees with me). The drive to Nausicaa from the tunnel was extremely easy, only about 20 min ish drive and well signposted, but make sure you park in the open air car park by the beach which is free rather than the underground car park beneath Nausicaa like we did as you have to pay per hour for that one.Our children enjoyed Nausicaa very much, although they dragged us around and didn't allow us time to read the large amount of information that is dotted around the centre. It took us about 2.5 hours to go around, but this would have been longer had we found the penguins, unfortunately we didn't see any signs for them and we did get confused by the signage at times and had to retrace our steps, so I was disappointed to have missed the penguins. There are also seals in an outside area and I'm assuming from the seating around that they sometimes do shows, but there was no information at all about the timings of these which was again disappointing, and as they were feeling rather shy, we didn't really manage to see them either from above or the tank below.I agree with past comments, the turtle needs to be in a bigger tank, he seemed to be struggling at times! The boat simulator of the 'Thalassa' was very good and having looked at the photo's I took of my children, it really looks like they are on a real ship in a storm!I get the impression that this time of year is a good time to go as not too busy and plenty of space to look at the big tanks.Following our visit we then had a picnic on the beach which was lovely for February! All in all, worth a visit.

Went on February 17th and it exceeded expectations coming from a background visiting Sea Life Centre's back in the UK. Plenty to walk around with about 21 different zones all of a different theme. Easy to spend 3 hours there and that's without reading through much of the information at all. The only thing I'd say is that the footsteps on the floor that lead to the next zone isn't always clear and found I had to backtrack some times. Otherwise, a very good attraction to visit and will hope to go again. It's only 20 minutes drive from the Eurotunnel also.

I have visited this aquarium three times over six years, once as a French teacher and twice with my toddler. The Year 7 group I visited with had a brilliant time; however I felt sorry for any other people who pay to visit this place in July due to many UK school trips (victim of its own popularity!) Next visit in August- again, very busy. My son loved it. We bought the online reductions. We have now just returned having visited December 22nd. This was the best time to visit- the place was virtually empty. We had the whole of the shark, and sea lion, rooms to ourselves. Brilliant! The place itself is of top quality- however as some people have said the sea turtle tank is clearly too small, but most of the other exhibits are good, although yes, the penguins could have a bigger enclosure. Be careful with the purchase of the tickets- do it in advance. The day before we went I tried to buy tickets online and their website wasn't working (tried on two devices). I did mention this at the till, and the cashier offered a reduction- however it was only on the train back to UK I noticed this was only on one of the two adult tickets, not both! Like any other attraction, the food is overpriced but the restaurants outside are good. Parking is free including on the pavement on the road in from Calais. The tanks could have better signage as many flash up the fish name (Eng/Fr) then pass on to the next fish- this is an example of where it would be better to have an old fashioned but clearer poster display of all the creatures in a tank. A very good day out.
