Really nice modern museum full of interesting exhibitions. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Last time I was there they have this exhibition of miniatures. It reminds me of the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum

Almost no English description, few interesting exhibits however. Not many interactive ines, but our son loved the old rotary dial phone and switching mechanisms, as well as the 3d picture viewer.

BRNO used to be called Moravian Manchester and this had been very true.Growing during the industrial revolution to a credible textile production centre with several technology universities.Used to be also home of large machinery and weaponry (Bren machine guns) industrial complexes.This made a valuable base for the Museum of Technology.Presently the Brno is known as Moravian Silicon Valley with high class universities and technology parts hosting Motorola, IBM and the other companies.This makes the museum to be regularly updated.It is worth to be visted.

Interesting for whole families. Children can try a lot of functions. You can see there maschines, technical functions, atc...

Can't beat a technical museum - always an interesting historical legacy to be seen in Eastern Europe - Migs parked outside, Volkspolice East German car models, old Skoda simulator etcThis is no Communist mauseleum though - lots of up to date stuff as well - good activities for children upstairs sparking scientific curiosity. Good value educational fun.

The museum easily takes 1.5-2 hours if you are going to do the fun experiments and watch the documentaries. It is a lot of fun and the staff is very engaging. It is a pity they don't all speak English but handouts in English are placed at the beginning of each section. Don't miss the display near the cafeteria!

A modern museum with lots of interesting things about technical incentions and development. Explained and exhibited in a way even a person without technical skills and abilities can understand.

There is even playroom for kids where yiu can learbn physics. Many cars, plane models and also vintage rooms (I liked dentistry). It is very cheap for students.

This museum has a lot of technical exhibits, and is well worth the money and time to visit.There are many cars for those who like motor vehicles. However, it does not cover other forms of transport in the same depth. What it does have is covered very well, but there are some gaps as per the example above. Nonetheless, if you are of a technical persuasion, it is worth a look.

Worth of visit, this museum is really intresting. Exhibition is build really amazing way, so you can easily spent here couple hour. Tram number 12 stops right front of museum.

This is a favourite place of my five-years old son. There are many floors with old cars, machines, planes, weapons and even a reconstruction of old street with shops and workshops. On the upper level there are changing exhibits and an interactive playground for kids and adults where you can try many technical principles. Surely take your kids with you!

We really enjoyed this museum despite not being able to read most of the inscriptions and exhibit explanations as they were not in English. Even so, we recommend a visit if you have an interest in technology as it is worthwhile to see the level of Czech (Moravian?) engineering development in the early part of the 20thC, especially in automobiles and somewhat later aircraft. A Zlin aerobatics plane hangs from the ceiling of one of the main galleries and we learned later (from Wikipedia) that it was once one of the best of its type in the world. Likewise, The beautiful, streamlined Tatra automobile of the 1920s that was a joint Porsche and Czech project, a showcase of advanced technology aside from being a stunning looking vehicle. The Museum is some kilometres outside the city centre but there is a tram that stops directly in front. There is a huge amount to see and we did not even get to the outside exhibits (Soviet MiG jets, etc.) due to rainy weather.

Nice avia exhibition! I really liked the part of the town streets with shops, pub and services. I was a bit disappointed with the experimentarium, it looked a bit like from 1980s.

A short tram ride (number 12) from centre of Brno (5K distance), easy journey & well worth the visit. Lots of info in English - very quiet museum.

Quite a reasonable city museum, quite a varied selection of exhibits. There are some signs in English, but some lack a decent English translation. A good place to spend a couple of hours
