A must-see national park in Calabria! Large parts of it are seemingly unexplored, which makes it even more fascinating.Here is a great tip for a great hiking trail:A friend of mine and me drove to Natile Vecchio, a small village off the main road to Plati (coming from the eastern coast). Take a left off the main road to cross the riverbed. That road takes you directly to Natile Vecchio. Our goal was to climb up to the mountain with the gigantic boulder-shaped summit (if you are in the region, you will instantly recognize it). Just when entering Natile Vecchio, take a left up a donkey trail and follow the paths in the direction of the mountain. They take one across little patches of land and herds of sheep - you need to improvise the direction you walk as sometimes the trails go all over the place. Follow your instinct up the mountain. Trails do dissapear sometimes and you may need to just walk your own path. At some point you will notice that the vegetation suddenly changes. From there on, trees become scarce and large patches of grass open up. Sheep tend to grass there. Relaxing on the open grass, the scenery is simply stunning, as you have views across the valley and as far as the Adrian Sea. At that point, an old barb-wired fence will appear. Follow along it in the direction of the summit and you will have no problem reaching the boulder. From there on we noticed the "official" path up to the boulder, which we followed back to Natile Vecchio. This path will take you around the boulder and along another mountain ridge and along a sealed road back to the village.I highly recommend to take the adventurous route we took! You will walk through nature at all times and will probably not see a single soul.If you decide to take the official trail, enter the village and follow the road to the other end of it, from which the road will lead up the mountain. The inofficial one starts right at the point when you enter Natile Vecchio.Bring some snacks and water, the inofficial hike will probably take up to five hours.

The views are astounding, I never realized that Southern Italy was so rugged.

È incredibile che la Calabria venga così poco valorizzata. ..e così, come mille altri posti, anche l Aspromonte mi ha lasciato a bocca aperta. La natura esplode, il verde è dominante, vero polmone calabrese

Naturalisticamente è veramente un bel posto sia che ci sia il sole, sia che sia la neve ma anche avvolto dalla nebbia l'ho trovato suggestivo. Sarebbe bello se lo valorizzassero un pò di più permettendo di salire in cima con più facilità. Spesso gli impianti sono chiusi.

Dopo un pranzo abbondante dei prodotti tipici calabresi del 20 Settembre 2014, prima di tornare a Linguaglossa (CT), mi fermai nella foresta per esplorare qualcke sentiero mai visitato finora, dato ke di solito mi limito a stendermi col plaid nei dintorni vicino l'automobile con cui viaggio. Uno dei posti milgiori mai visitati finora, adatto per ki come me ama la natura e la montagna.

La bellezza arcaica della natura unita al buon cibo locale.Non si possono non notare però i rifiuti sparsi qua e là che deturpano e offendono il Parco e la Regione Calabria.

il profumo ed il silenzio dei boschi .Non mi è piaciuto lo stato di abbandono e lo sporco che impera tra gli alberi dove sono stati alloggiati i tavoli da picnic.

Paesaggi davvero incantevoli ma poco valorizzati a livello di servizi e attrazioni! Ottimo per chi ama fare lunghe passeggiate, escursioni e per chi è un amante della natura!

Muitos pinheiros envolvem esse parque, que está em uma região alta do sul da Calabria. Possue um zoológico e nas vizinhanças pode encontrar estações de esqui.

Traum Natur mit Müllbergen soweit das Auge reicht.Unverständlich, daß es so etwas in Europa in Nationalparks gibt.Hätte gerne Eintritt in die calibr.Nationalparks gezahlt, dafür eine nicht durch Mül versaute Natur vorgefunden.

Nous nous sommes rendus jusqu'à Gambarie pour avoir quelques informations sur le parc et y apprendre que les balades avec vue n'étaient pas vraiment dans ce coin. Nous avons suivi les conseils de la personne du point information, très sympathique, et avons fait une balade d'1h30 aller-retour vers une cascade très jolie (3 ou 4 niveaux de cascade) où nous n'avons pas été dérangés par le monde ! La balade n'est pas évidente à trouver si on n'a pas été informés, il faut se rendre jusqu'à un barrage (diga de la menta), puis suivre la route (qui descend beaucoup), jusqu'à une petite rivière. Là on peut laisser la voiture et la balade commence.Certains endroits du parc, notamment les zones de picnic, peuvent être très sales avec tous les déchets (notamment gobelets et assiettes en plastiques) laissés sur place, c'est dommage.

Local em uma região rica e com muita beleza em sua fauna e flora. No meio de sua floresta tem um mini zoológico com os animais no seu próprio ambiente.

Aspromonte......il nome tempo fa incuteva timore. E 'una montagna bellissima ricca di flora e fauna che ha una enorme potenzialità che è ancora inespressa. Quanta incuria.....ai lati della strada appena entrati nel bosco si trovano i residui di bivacchi ed i rifiuti 'dimenticati' da molti.....ma nonostante ciò è una zona di una bellezza come poche e ci sono varie possibilità di escursione tra paesi persi nel tempo e percorsi tra fiumi e boschi.

è la montagna più vicina al mare che ci sia. Bosco poco antropizzato e splendido da visitare. panorami mozzafiato sulle isole eolie, l'etna e lo stretto di messina.

Nel Parco si può praticare un ottimo escursionismo, arrampicata ilbera, il torrentismo e lo sci di fondo.Ero pure interessato a tutti i piccoli paesi che circondano l’Aspromonte, soprattutto Gerace, Palizzi e Pentedattilo. Al centro del massiccio nella bassa valle Bonamico, si cela il leggendario Santuario della Madonna di Polsi, da vedere! Famoso per stare a Ponte!
