poppelsdorf palace

Pretty building in a very pretty part of bonn. Nice when the sun is out as the colors are best then. I found the surrounding neighbourhood very nice to walk through. Overall a nice spot for a short visit

Not much to look at except the architecture from outside.The palace itself was closed.Was good from the outside.

...it makes it a wonderful experience! During the pause, you can sip on your champaigne and walk around the garden... you won't regret it!

It's a great place for a walk, lay a blanket on the green and lazily watch people walk by. The avenue leading up to the Palace has a small bookshelf where people can drop books and pick a new one up.

We visited on the hottest day of a year and the palace is closed due to a renovation despite the garden. However, it's a pleasant walk along the path to give us a bit of shades away from the sun. There's a little car park nearby but it's still easy enough to park in the centre of the town and walk to the palace. During this visit, I can't really give a whole picture of the palace itself to you here unfortunately.

I can't really review Poppelsdorf Palace as we drove there, and couldn't find any parking anywhere near it. Might be something to bear in mind if you are visiting with a car. It looked nice from the outside though!

The best way to visit this buildings is to approach on foot down the Poppelsdorf Allee. This is a beautiful wide road with very little traffic and an area of grass in the middle. The palace is at the end and the allee goes on and on with the palace gradually becoming bigger.

estuvimos el domingo de carnaval y estaba todo cerrado pero paseando lleguemos a este palacio es un lugar muy bonito con unos espacios verdes muy grandes donde estaba lleno y se podía admirar el palacio por fuera recomendable si vais a Bonn es uno de los lugares mas bonitos que tiene

Живя в Бонне, могу сказать, что идти туда стоит не ради того, чтоб посмотреть на дворец, так как нет в нём ничего восхитительного, ЗАТО: за дворцом находится прилегающий ботанический сад, можно там походить, а перед дворцом длинная аллея с дорожкой травы, на которой можно днём улечься и читать книгу, взятую бесплатно в стоящем рядом шкафчике или слушать музыку:)

ボンはこじんまりした素敵な都市で西ドイツ時代の首都だったのかと思うと意外です。バスから降りて最初に目に入ったのは黄色い立派なボン大学でした。ボン大学になっている建物は、18世紀ケルンの選帝候ヨゼフ・クレメンスのレジデンツでしたが、1818年にボン大学になったそうです。立派なわけですね。法王ベネディクト16世、詩人ハイネ、音楽巨匠ベートーベン、哲学者ニーチェが通っていた大学です。広い芝生に大学生らしい人たちが日光浴をしながら本を読んでいる姿はとても印象的でした。

Precioso paseo el de Poppelsdrof Allee, hasta llegar al Palacio, tiene unas casas señoriales preciosas, muchas pertenecen a oficinas y otras son casas particulares, pero el paseo es magnifico, con jardines en el centro, muy relajante.

Die Umgebung und das Schloss haben mir gut gefallen. Bin aber nicht reingegangen, da die Räume zur Uni gehören und sich dort auch ein Mineralien-Museum befindet. Für mich leider nicht so interessant.

Eigentlich sollte ich mich als jemand, der in diesem altehrwürdigen Gebäude vor über vier Jahrzehnten Zoologie studiert hatte, lokalpatriotisch verhalten und mich sehr positiv äußern. Aber erstens gefiel mir das Zoologie-Studium in Bonn überhaupt nicht (im Gegensatz zur Botanik und Geographie) und zweitens bin ich kein Fan des Frühbarocks. Dennoch hatten mich nun nach langer Abstinenz einige Aspekte des Schlosses doch "gütig gestimmt", denn die Perspektive vom Garten aus nimmt einen doch gefangen und das Gebäude selbst weist einige nette, wenn auch leicht angegammelte Nischen auf. Der Institutsbetrieb (Zoologie links- und Mineralogie rechtsseitig) schmälert das Gesamtflair nicht, denn zumindest mir sagt eine zweckgebundene Nutzung mehr zu als der finanzintensive Erhalt einer Zierde, die mir ohnehin weniger gefallen würde.

Un bel palazzo in fondo ad una via alberata, un palazzo a vedersi abbatanza semplice. Sul retro un giardino. Nella centrale della città

Mooi gebouw met de botanische tuin erachter. Binnenin zijn er afdelingen van de universiteit met een tentoonstelling over geologie. Wel een prachtig zicht over de promenade naar dat andere kasteel.
