This is the best beach in Lefkada in my oppinion and the best beach Ive ever been. The water was crystal clear and there a lot of beautiful fish so make sure you take your goggles.
I can say the day spent here was the best in Lefkada. the water is perfect and you can get a perfect mix - snorkeling and swimming. You can get to the beach by taxi boat from Vasiliky (where you can have a very nice dinner in the harbor when you return). the beach is quite crowded, especially when cruise boats arrive. if you are not lucky enough to get an umbrella form there, you can find some shade between the big rocks on the beach (or carry your own umbrella).the view from up the rock is very nice and it is worth the small trip.
Amazing beach, the best beach I have ever seen. The waters of Egremni beach are turquoise blue and clear. The beach is composed of white sand characteristic for Ionian Islands. Egremni beach usually doesn’t get crowded beacuse of its lenght.
This is one of the clearest beaches in Lefkada with brilliant crystal waters. It is surrounded by white stone cliffs that create a beautiful setting and a feeling of seclusion. The water is clear and if you dive you feel like inside of aquarium!Don't miss it!Is a great beach also for kidsYou can go there by boat, but also with the car and by walk 100 steps. You can find there a great bar beach with friendly people and you can buy Goji Jam.
we arrived here on our last day in Lefkada after seing most of the beaches and our time here was by far the best. the beach is quite small, a bit crowded even in september but it's beauty makes it all better. the clear turqoise water with lots of colorful fish(great for snorkeling). it is best that you bring your own umbrella because there aren't enough for everyone to rent
Situated in the south of Lefkada island, this bay can be considered one of the top attractions that can be found on the island. A small slice of paradise, bathed in the electric blue shine of the Ionian waves, Agiofilli beach has its reputation taken from the incredible diversity of fauna, that can be observed during snorkeling. If you need to be convinced to practice this activity, you will give in to the underwater spectacle provided by the hundreds schools of fish, found in the bay. This phenomenon happens because of human intervention, as the fish remain in this area due to tourists feeding them constantly with bread. So, if you never fed a fish directly from your hand, go to Agiofilli and enjoy a unique underwater moment (of course you do need to bring some bread with you). Access to the beach is possible in a couple of ways: Taking a 15 minutes boat trip from Vasiliki harbor (regular schedule, in high season – every hour) that costs 6 euros/person round trip; by car/ATV/scooter, following a dirt road from the end of Vasiliki harbor (the car not being recommended because of the road’s poor condition); or by foot, on the same road (about 1 hour hiking, from Vasiliki). Any option you choose, you will not be disappointed at the end of your journey. During high season, the beach might become extremely crowded. You can find sunbeds and umbrellas, but there are also some parts on the beach left for people who don’t want to rent this kind of beach ware. Agiofilli is a pebble beach, so if you mind walking on stones, bring proper shoes with you. Best place to practice snorkeling is on the right side of the beach, facing the sea, along the steep cliff, at about 10-20 m from shore. That’s the place where the fish are waiting for your generosity, throwing them something to eat. I can’t be more amazed about the influence that a true natural wonder has on people. As I went to this beach 4 times until now, in different years and with different people, I noticed how the ways of life, of thinking, the beliefs, the feelings and all other things that make human individuals unique and distinct one from another, disappear in front of nature’s beauty. I didn’t saw anyone of my former companions that came with me, disappointed of what they found here, on the contrary, they were all fascinated, even though some had other beach style preferences and various manifestations towards Agiofilli’s uniqueness . More important , the perfect way to really feel the turquoise atmosphere arisen by the sun’s warm golden rays, is to share these moments and the feelings emerged from them with people who understand and are bound to the same beliefs. Finally, I can only say that it is a pity to find this place so crowded, as it is being considered a wild beach, where you should be able to enjoy tranquility and relaxation. This is not the case anymore, but as long as tourists respect the gifts of nature and “the blue gem aquarium” of Agiofilli, by keeping the whole area clean and by protecting its wilderness, then there shouldn’t be any reason why anyone couldn’t enjoy this wonderful natural masterpiece.
We came to the beach by land. The road is bad (it's macadam) but the beach view from the top is priceless. The water is so clean that and nice. The colours are beautiful. It is possible to come here by boat too. We enjoyed it so much! :-)
Agiofilli Beach is located just south of Vassiliki. We drove to about one kilometre of the beach over a quite bumpy road and then there is a about 15 minutes of walking. This is another amazing beach on the island. When you walk towards the view there are fantastic views and when you get there the beach consists of greyish white pebbles and the sea is crystal clear with many fish. If you get there between 10 and 10.30am there are sunbeds to hire but by almost mid-day there are virtually none. We spent around 3 hours there and I would highly recommend this to beach lovers.
Today i visited the Agiofili beach and i enjoyed what i have seen. The water is spectacular and extremely clean. You can both rent a sunbed or bring your own stuff. Also consider bringing your own food(today they ran out of sandwiches) and putting on your shoes for peebly sand. You can get here by boat from Vasiliki(i would recommend it) or on 2 other unpaved roads, one from the end of Vasiliki harbour, and another one-the worst choice-the one recommended by the GPS. At the end of the road there is a closed gate where you can park your car and from there on you have a 2-5 minutes walk(including stairs) to get to the beach. The beach is very nice and you can see a lot of fishes, especially on the right, near the rocks.
You can walk to this beach from Vassaliki, but we went there on a boat trip. It is very pretty and lovely for swimming
Lovely little beach with clear water, 15 minutes drive from Vassiliki. I consider this the best each of Lefkada. You can go by car (however take into account bumpy dirt roads and difficult parking, plus 15 min walking) or with the overcrowded little boat that leaves from Vassiliki docks.Avoid central hours because it becomes annoyingly overcrowded.
I visited all the beaches in Lefkada and Agiofilli beach is the most beautiful. I like it because it's smaller than Porto Katsiki but looking the same, and you really have what to see under the water. And if you like diving there are some rocks and a cliff from witch you can jump. Best to go with boat or scooter from Vasiliki. Enjoy
loved this beach when we visited Lefkada last year, there was no bar then but I read here that they changed it! Hope it won't be too crowdy next week so we can enjoy clear waters without a fuss!
For me, the highlight of Lefkada... I know that Egremni or Porto Katsiki are much more famous but this small beach, hidden in a golf ticked all the boxes for me. Breathtaking view from the hill, quiet, white pebbles, crystal clear water. You have to be early if you want a sunbed. Loads and loads of fishes. A small shop in the middle of the beach where you can get the basics, water, coffee, tea or a snack. Accesible from Vasiliki via small boat at EUR 6 both ways or via a footpath.
A very lovely beach, some facilities like a bar an sunbeds, taxi boats to Vasiliki. The only thing is that there after 10 AM it is a big fuss as boats are comming in , bringing turists, so there will be a lot of disturbance of the water and of the quiet time.
