The small and perfectly formed crescent shaped bay of Agia Agathi is on the east coast of Rhodes a short distance from Lindos. The beautiful soft golden sand is gently caressed by a crystal clear blue sea and guarded by the ruins of Feraklos Castle perched high on the hill which forms the peninsula between Agathi Bay and Haraki Bay. The shallow inshore waters of the bay are suprisingly warm during the summer months and perfect for hours of fun for playful children and adults alike. I really did'nt want to write this review because i'm trying to keep it a secret !:-)
What a great beach....white sands, gentle waves, shallow water, hot weather, good food....nothing wrong here.We just loved it. Nearly had to fish the kids out from the water, they so didn't want to leave....Best beach ever....
We are family of 4 .we visited haraki for first time in octomber , and we love it ! in our trip we when to so many beaches in rhodes but agathi is a must !!! the weater is so clear the sand looks like gold !we was living in a dream!!!
Clean and tavernas handy! But long walk from main road up and down sandy stoney roads,, but beautiful views! Easily spend all day there!
Agathi beach is quite simply stunning, with fabulous views, crystal clear water and soft golden sand. I love it there, very safe for children as the water is shallow til quite far out. Bottoms up is very good for snacks and drinks, and the water sports have a good selection of rides. Manolis who works there is fabulous, very friendly and always helpful. A dream beach.
fantastic beach great for swimming and sun bathing. BOTTOMS UP bar very very good. not sure how much the sunbeds are to hire but its better than sitting on the sand
Very beautiful, sandy beach!!!!! I was amazed as we approached it- it was like a movie place, so romantic. I felt as I found the paradise. Highly recommend it!
clean soft sand with blue water that goes out for miles.Yes very popular with day trippers with their hire cars but still a good day out.We walked there round the castle from Haraki about 20 mins.
small, secluded beach with 3 bars/restaurants, compared to 15 on Tsambika beach. Very fine sand with no stones at all.The abandoned hotel construction site right next to it is a little disturbing to the eyes, but doesn´t bother me. The price for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella is as anywhere else on the island 8.-€ a day. Anyone with a car should try this beach. It´s a bit hard to find, but worth the drive.
Food at the cantina is surprisingly good and portion generous. it's an ideal place to eat if you are having a day on the beach. Lunchtime snacks substantial and the Fruit Salad enormous and very good value. Furthest from the entrance to the beach don't miss your chance to experience a relaxed, leisurely lunch; the staff are friendly even at the busiest of times and the service is quick. Chill out and enjoy!
Just about 1-2 km from the main road Rhodes-Lindos, the cozy but not small bay with sand and crystal clean water. there are some water entertainments and a couple of snack bars\cafes\restraunts with traditional Greek snacks and dishes.it's definitely worth visiting and time spending.a tent & 2 lounges are 8 euros, when you arrive in the aftrenoon - 5 euros (September 2014).
Fantastic, sandy beach. Food and drinks on the spot, sweet water showers and sunbeds (8EUR/2/day). A small hill with ruins just 10mins away.
Very beautiful beach, sandy and family friendly. the transparency of the water is inviting. I like it very much. In August may be crowded and a little bit hot.
great beach but spoiled by restaurants noisy generators at back of beach, you need an ipod to stop the noise, shame cause its a great beach and shallow water.
the beach was a complete surprise. We found it by accident but we gladly return to it again. Sand is really like gold, water is clean and warm.
