brilliant toboggan run, 3.5km long. it will have you laughing and screaming along the way and leave you wanting more. It is in a beautiful area and had a lovely walk from Imst, through Rosegarten Gorge to get there. Sat after for a drink then walked out way back down. Took about 2 hours walk up, but work it, and about an hour down. Would go back again

It's has been our top ranked destination during our trip to Europe in Oct-2014. This is a destination not commonly visited by taking group tour. A bit difficult to find a car parking lot during peak season. But worth it all after taking the exciting Alpine Coaster.

I directly live in Imst and I really like to ride the alpine coaster. It is really so much fun, great scenery and the ride is longer as i first expected. But: if there are lots of people (which happens a lot especially in summer season) the chance to get stuck behind a slow one is really big. But there are some strategies to avoid a boring ride.and: it is pretty expensive - if you don't walk up but take the lift. so i would recommend to have a nice walk in the mountains and take the alpine coaster as an alternative for the walk down.

We went up with the chairlift, in which you have a beatifull view on the mountains and a good view at the Coaster Track. The cart was very comfortable, long track were you can really speed up. Just a lot of fun to do!

At almost £10 a go it’s quite expensive. That said, if you buy a ticket for one go down the Alpine coaster the chair lift up to the top is a nice experience and there’s a cafe at the top for something to eat and drink, so your £10 each tickets could last a couple of hours. Easy to find and a few other activities to try out, at a cost. Overall a good morning spent on the mountain.

Not as good as the many videos you see of this posted online. Great scenery and certainly lots of fun. Its just not as much of an adrenaline rush as we might have hoped. Also, the rules on what you can and can't take down with you don't make much sense. The girlfriend could take her handbag but I couldn't take my empty mini rack-sack. This had to be put on the ski lift and collected from the bottom. Also, the Ski life doesn't drop you at the correct place. You need to walk back down the mountain a bit. The man at the top doesn't appear to speak any English at all, so we found this bit a bit confusing. You can also take your camera with you, but be careful I lost my camera lens on the way down. Also, we went early on the Thursday and Saturday and had no problems with queues. The ski lift ride to the top was also great, really relaxing.Highly recommended and I'm sure you won't be disappointed as long as you don't expect this to be like a standard roller coaster.

My family and I rode this 6 times over 3 visits and had an amazing time - what more could you want that mucking about on a roller coaster in the Tirol on a sunny day with your sons and wife rattling down a mountain - go early and you'll have it all to yourself and it'll be who's the bravest gets to the bottom first - great value, well run, nice shops and cafés around and a great mornings fun.

What a blast! This attraction was without question one of the highlights of our Austrian vacation. We drove from Kitzbuhel on a slightly overcast Monday, arriving early afternoon. We parked for free and then paid 11 euros for 2 adult passes. We didn't have much of a wait at all at the top, and all the way down on the coaster we neither caught up with, nor saw, anyone in front of us, nor did anyone catch up with or come within sight of us. We seemed to be just flying down the course, so it would seem from reading some other reviews on this site, that we really lucked in by not having anyone going too slowly in front of us. The ride was fabulously exhilarating and fun, and we haven't laughed so hard in a long time! We highly recommend this attraction. Perhaps try to go on a weekday, and when the weather is just a bit less than ideal, so as to hopefully have less crowds.

Took the train from Innsbruck, for a family of 4 on a Sunday, the return was 72 euros.Ride is incredibly smooth and a tv screen on the train informs you of your location on a map, which is handy when you were initially unsure about the journey. It is around a 30 mins journey. When arrived at Imst, only 3 buses run on a Sunday and the next was 2 hours away. The Bus would take you to the town and you'd need another bus to the Alpine centre (at Hoch-Imst). So no choice but to walk or take a taxi. Walking is not an option - too far, and the taxi cost be 18 euros.Once their, My children have somehow become adults - at least for pricing purposes and 3 goes costs 31 euros each, whilst I chose a single ride at 11 euro. You need to get a ticket - giving you a position in the queue. For those not aware of this, it appears that people are queue jumping until they cotton on, get their ticket and find they have a long wait. And it was a long wait at times. 3 rides (albeit with chair rides up), took over 4 hours. Thankfully their is a chalet at the top serving food and drinks to help pass the time. You could go for a walk in the mountains, but you risk missing your place in the queue and would then have to take another ticket ! When we took our last go, around ticket 600, they were dishing out tickets for 900. Possibly a 2 hour wait...The one go I had, did unfortunately have a slow person going down, about 8 in front of me. And so at the half way stage the group of 7 simply stopped on a bridge for an eternity - to allow the slow person to complete their go. Once we restarted it was full pelt to the bottom and it was awesome. Just a shame that there is not a method in place for a group of fast people to go in one batch. Instead of having the slow ones being interspersed into the line at random. Had I been able to enjoy a full run, this would have scored higher - although I feel it is also a tad pricey, especially when paying for a family of four.Plus the sun beat down on us whilst waiting for our go in the queue and was slowly roasting us. They have not provisioned in anything to offer shade and it was much needed.Managed to catch the bus down to the halfway point. My train ticket worked on the bus (so no cost). But no bus then to the Train station. Quelle Surprise, my taxi friend is waiting and another 10 euros lighter, we are back at the Station. An expensive day - but at least the children loved it.One other point to note. We all had rucksacks and you are not permitted to have these on the ride and so they ended up going back down the cable car by themselves. They are then collected in a put in a huge pile. Just something to think about before you leave, especially if you have large valuables - i.e. cameras' with you !

Don't miss it, great ride my kids loved it.Try to arrive early to avoid the crowd.Your not allowed to slide with back pack so leave it in the car or it will be sent down with the lift.My daughter age 8 had trouble with the ride as she got tired punching the handle forward. She should have ridden with an adult. There is an excellent cafe next to ticket office. The ice cream was great.

Try goin g when it isn't busy, and watch who goes in front of you... If they are using a number system and you're doing multiple rides (you get a number when you get to the top) then get new numbers just before you board your ride. This way, you don't have to wait for subsequent rides. If you're hesitant about speed (like me) you'll likely go a bit too slow on the first ride... by the third time, I wasn't using the brakes at all... way more fun!

In the morning we got to Imst. Roller Coster considered the number one attraction in the area. Indeed long slides And possibly enjoyable, When there are fewer crowded. Get really early in the morning - otherwise might skip it. Not cheap. And I almost forgot. I went with a backpack. A person can not get on the slides with a backpack. So why not put a big sign down and to enable luggage storage?

On a nice day this would be fantastic, but to wait almost 3 hours at the top only to be pelted in the face with rain as you descend was a bit anti-climatic

We all had a blast on the sommerrodelbahn, and especially the Monster Bikes. This is the best place for Monster Bikes because of long gravel path, which is much better than paved paths you find at other places.
