We visited from Mittenwald and loved it! The water is absolutely gorge-ous! Visiting in the off season was a plus as we were the only people there that day, though all the signs were covered with tarps for the winter. It's much shorter than I expected so you can't even make a half day of it but it's worth checking out.

It was a good walk along the gorge, but probably more for families with children. There were activities for them to try along the way, which I am sure they would enjoy.

I suppose we had to pay to park, but still. The impressive steel walkways above the rushing river were exhilarating to walk on and the bridges gave us spectacular views over the gorge and into the valley near the end. We did this walk to break up a drive between Munich and Innsbruck and didn't regret it one bit.

Highly recommended. Spartacular views. Easy tour for a suuny day. We combined visit here (~3 hours) with a tour in lovely Mittenvald.

A lovely day out for the family to walk along the gorge from Austria into Germany (or vide versa)! Don't forget your camera!

Landed at Munich, driving to the Austrian Alps. Walking this trail is a wonderful way to stretch the bones after the long sitting. Water is running down below, the forest around you smells and sounds like forests should. Many stations along the trail for curious kids (and parents). JUST what we needed!!

We enjoyed making this ride along the gorge. The path is fantastic and you realy feel the connection with the nature. I saw everybody posted pictures before, so I will not repeat them. You have to see the water with your own eyes. The visit is free but to see the waterfall you have to pay 3 euro/adult and 1 euro/child. Also at the end you have a small refreshment bar where you can make a stop and take a break after the ride. You have to ascend a liitle bit (mainly on the way back) so be prepared...I would recommend it to everybody who likes nature and its wonders.

My wife and I walked through the gorge as part of a longer walk from Reindlau to Mittenwald and we were glad we did. Spectacular walk along the steel walkway, lots info boards along the way and interactive things. The descent down to the bottom end of the gorge is steep, but views make up for it. Worth paying the small toll at the far end to see the waterfalls, there is a lovely cafe there as well.

The walk through the gorge is on a walkway built halfway up the gorge and giving you a wonderful view of the river as it rushes through the gorge. If you start at the car park end, half way round is a coffee/ice cream shop where you can rest up or purchase tickets to see more of the gorge at waterfall. Carrying on the circular walk passes uphill through the woods and back to the car park.A relatively easy walk which our elderly parents managed with ease. Also good on a hot day as the gorge remains fairly cool.

Reading several reviews on Tripadvisor we decided the trip to Leutascher Geisterklamm. I was worrying about my little one who is 5 and a half years old because people mentioned that one needed 'a good head for heights' to make this trip. No problem! We took a 2.5 km trail around the gorge and every member of my family including the little one had really enjoyed the walk. Looking down crystal clear water flowing following the gorge was gorgeous. We could identify a big fish in there. The trail was designed in a careful way that even first-time visitors could easily find the way ahead. Very often we ran into a post with interesting stories about geister or monster in the gorge or little gadgets to play with. English and other major languages are shown along with Deutsche on the posts. It took us 1.5 hr to walk around the trail. A great walk!

We were staying in Seefeld so made our way to Weidach (Bus 4184 /4186) to walk the riverside path, about 2 hours to the Gorge entrance. This is a great way to extend the visit to a whole day.The Gorge has a metal see-through platform attached high on the rock face, it took 3 years to construct and is totally free to enter. There are also stretches of steep walking through the woodside if you take both circuits. Views along the gorge and to the water below are spectacular , it is quite safe but the views would not be for those afraid of heights. At the German end is a short walk at the bottom end of the Gorge to the waterfall which exits the Gorge, this is in private ownership and has a small charge. This is also worth visiting and is very cool if the rest of the gorge is hot. At this end it is possible to walk to Mittenwald. There is also a good café at the main entrance and another part way round.References to spirits and Goblins on information boards are mainly to keep children interested, there is also a 'go-ape' type treetop experience at the main entrance, where there is a large carpark and buss stops.

This walk through the gorge is free except for the waterfall at the bottom which was only 2.50 euros. there is a wonderful panoramic bridge and walkways about 45 metres above the river. It took us about an hour to stroll through. There are some steep paths but not too many.

In most countries you would pay to walk the Gorge....very spectacular, but unless walking the whole length from Leustach to Mittenwald or vice versa as part of a longer stroll a trip half way and back will suffice as it does become monotonous ....if amazing scener can .......

We were looking forward to this after recommendations by friends in Tirol. It was difficult to find but it didn't disappoint. Its 5 Euros to park the car and after that entry is free. you have to pay 3 Euros for the small walk to the waterfall but its well worth it.The views are stunning especially from the panoramic bridge. There are signs up along the way to explain the history of the place and thins for the kids to do. There is a small hut where you can have food and drinks close to the waterfallThere is a small cafe near the car park for ice cream, coffee and cake. Great day out
