It is so easy not to appreciate the contribution hungarians have made to the world of science, medicine, the arts and knowledge and many of those spent time in Szeged. Walk around the Pantheon, which surrounds the Dom Ter on three sides, and you begin to understand the significance of Hungary's contribution. The Dom Ter is Hungary's largest public space, that gives you some idea on just how many individuals are honoured in the Pantheon. On a sizzling hot day, the Pantheon provides a little respite from the direct heat and sun, the corridors provide a gentle cooling breeze - another good reason to wander these hallowed corridors.Right now the Dom Ter is filled with stage seating ready for the summer open air theatre, so there is little choice but to walk around the corridors. If you are visiting the open air theatre shows, I would recommend these too, take the time to walk around the Pantheon.
A part of the complex on Dom ter, the Pantheon has the sculptures of famous Hungarians that had an impact on their history. A great part of the experience when visiting the Dom ter.
This square is in the middle of the University. It is an area where they hold open air concerts and performances and it's an impressive site to see.
If you're on the square take a break and wall around to watch some of the most famous scientists, writers, thinkers.
Statues of famous Hungarian scientists, writers, poets are here, around the Dóm square.
