Good surfers beach as waves seemed larger than at others in the area. Nice to sit and have a drink at the whacky restaurant/ bars at the entrance to the beach.
It is a wide sandy beach, but at high tide the sand strip is quite narrow and it gets crowded. It is divided in two parts. The first one has some bars, restaurants and clubs overlooking the ocean, very nice. The second part is accessible by walking over some rocks, a bit tricky when wet. There is no infrastructure on that side, only a few vendors. There's not much parking available.
Great beach- nice place to swim- reasonably sheltered but also a nice wind- eating in Rocka is a must- really excellent food
Place were you find Rocka Restaurant. They have a lounge for guests of the restaurant where you can enjoy having a drink with a wonderful sea view. Beach is little but nice.
Rough and rocky terrain...rough blue ocean... shimmering moon above. Stunning setting for dinner....
Praya Brava became our favorite beach, (less people and better water) especially if you walk the beach towards the fishermen's end. Last bar stand was the best in terms of both service and quality. Dont miss the champagne bar (at the entrance to the beach, look for yellow unbrellas) for your after beach drink
Great beach to spend a day or two.beach is split in two, one where a few people do surfing, another with more calm waters for a more relaxing time. water was absolutely fantastic, clear, and stunning!
We came to this beach in the evening just before dinner at Rocka Fish. It is not as big as some of the other beaches in Buzios and it seems more striking because of the hight of the rocks behind it and the waves which are higher here than we saw anywhere else.
This one is an excellent option for the ones who want to be away form a lot of people and also do some surfing as its waves are really good!!
This is my favorite beach in all Búzios. It is beautifully located, pleasant to swim and has access (a trail) to Olho de Boi nudist beach. The Brava beach offers few simple outdoor bars, where you can have a cold beer or a caipirinha. Higher level, near the car parking area, there is a reasonable restaurant. A bit pricy. Enjoyed a nice and spicy ceviche.During high season there is a parking fee collected at least during weekends.Highly recommended. Bring your own beach towels, umbrella etc.
Amazing , simple praia, nice bars , good food and drinks, nice view, waves and i even see a pinguin!!have an aperitive here is a must, you'll think about how the life could be good. go with partner or friends and enjoy. surf place
At first Brava Beach seemed too small and I was skeptical looking at all of the other beach options in Buzios but I really ended up liking Brava Beach. I visited Buzios in July - so the off-season. I am the type of traveler that likes to relax on a beach only bringing a book and a bottle of water. When I arrived at this beach by foot there were only three people on the beach, after climbing the middle section of rocks to the adjacent beach there were 4 more people. Yes it is a small beach but the upside is it is nice and quiet. The water was (cold) but calm. At times I like beaches that are busy like Copacabana to people-watch but a majority of times I like quiet beaches, so Brava Beach suited me well.
Not used to chaise lounges in the grass overlooking the beach. Don't like mosquitoes ot whatever bugs were in the grass. Nice sand, big waves.
When you go for the beach there are better beaches in buzios. But this one has rocka bar. Great place to lie in the sun on the lounge beds and have a champagne. Beach is quite small. Tortuga or gerdiba beach are better if you want to hang out on the beach.
Enticed by the possibility of some surfing, unfortunately the day we chose was not ideal for this but a pretty beach nonetheless. Unfortunately the baraccas were a bit tired and dirty and the nature of the beach area leaves little space to sit without fear of your belongings washing away and also, for some reason, the charge for a guarda sol and some chairs was double everywhere else we had tried in Buzios (and Rio for that matter). The redeeming feature of this beach was the outstanding food and service at the small but busy beach bar above, RockA. The lobster salad was sublime and well complimented with the soft, warm wonderful codfish balls. Not cheap but by far the best meal we have had in a long while and the best beach lunch ever!
