This was one of the most beautiful, clean and uncrowded beaches I have ever seen. Not much in the way of water sports but it was low season

Of course it always depends on what you're looking for...If you want somewhere to chill and disconnect, tick, and if you want to get busy, there's plenty to do. Stand Up paddling, surfing, quad biking, fishing, walking or running the endless beaches, eating and drinking the best Bahia has to offer. And there's plenty of day trips to choose from, namely Taipus de Fora, a must! Plenty of pousadas to choose from too, my tip, Pousada Mediterraneo!

This is an amazing place, the small village offers you good typical food at a reasonable price. The beaches are fantastic and Cassange Lagoon is one of the best places to visit in there. The environment is very relaxed. There are surfing, All-Terrain Vehicle (quadriciclo) for rental and I would highly recommend it. Take a long walk in the beaches during sunset and you will fall in love for Barra Grande.

The road is not very good, dirty and bumpy but once you there is magic the atmoferebeatifull bay very good to sailing and do waters sports, fishing scuba dive etc.

My girlfriend and I just got back from 2 week vacation in Barra Grande. We had an amazing time with a perfect mix of peacefulness and outdoor activities to do. The spend days diving its natural reef pools, walking in solitude, surfing, practicing stand-up, paddling, etc... the food is amazing and the people super welcoming. It is one of those spots in Brazil (and the world that you can still leave your belongings unwatched in the beach for hours and nothing goes missing!)We stayed at 3 different Pousadas (B&B) the fisrt one was Fruta Pao, it is in-town really nice place and good price. Then Bamboo Dorado in Taipus de Fora beach, a really beautiful minimalist design and then back in town at Pousada Mediterraneo just by the sea. Perfect!If you are not a crowd lover, avoid January and February which is high season. Those months, come to Bariloche! ;-)

I have been at Barra Grande beach for business (unfortunately, it´s true! But I will come back soon for vacation!!!), in 2011, november. The beach has a perfect beauty! To arrive there, you can take a taxi from Ilheus airport to Camamu village (100 km), and take a speed-boat from Camamu village to Barra Grande beach, that takes a 20 minutes trip. After 15 minutes in the boat, you´ll can see the seacoast with palm trees line, white sand and clear sea water! How can you resist this?!? Could it be better?!? Yes, when you find a club beach that named "O Deck - restaurante, festa e lounge" ("restaurant", "party" and "lounge") to relax and enjoy your day in that fantastic beach! Enjoy this paradise on earth! Good luck!

A praia é calma, não tem ondas. Na maré baixa a areia favorece andar de bicicleta. O por do sol é lindo de qualquer ponto da praia. Vale à pena ir ate o encontro do mar com o Rio Carapitangui.

Uma das melhores Praia do mundo.Local paradisíaco, muito charme, gente bonita, ótimas baladas e uma excelente estrutura de barracas de praia.

o local é maravilhoso! O cenário todo da península de Maraú é formidável! Passear de carro por toda península faz você descobrir recantos e praias maravilhosos

Um pouco difícil de chegar, mas vale muito a pena. Fomos de Salvador pelo ferry boat para Camamu, onde deixamos o carro num estacionamento próximo ao cais (R$ 90,00/4 dias). Pegamos uma lancha rápida (R$ 25,00 por pessoa) que levou uns 40 minutos para chegar, porque ficava parando em pontos intermediários. Chegamos em Barra Grande e pedimos um carrinho de mão (R$ 10,00) para levar nossa bagagem até o hotel.A vila é bem rústica, toda de areia com uma igrejinha no centro. Entretanto não deixa a desejar quanto a restaurantes e bares. Tudo muito gostosinho.As praias calmas, limpas e com visual maravilhoso!

Ótima praia para passar o dia com a família ou ver o por do sol. Em alguns pontos existem quiosques para facilitar a vida de quem não quer levar nada para a praia.

Ich reiste von Itacaré mit dem Bus (BR$ 8) eine Stunde nach Camamu und von dort mit dem Boot (BR$ 20) ca eine halbe Stunde nach Barra Grande. Es gibt verschiedene schöne Strände und Lagunen dort, welche man gut mit einem Quadbike (BR$ 100/Tag) erreichen kann.

A chegada é traumática, mas o lugar é um pequeno paraíso, onde não pega celular, não tem caixa eletrônico e as ruas são de areias. ótimo lugar para descansar e curtir a bela natureza de praias lindas.

Passei nessa praia como parte de um passeio de um dia, então só gastei uma hora lá, infelizmente. Quase resolvi ficar na vila, é muito charmosa! Não perde em nada para Itacaré, acho até que é melhor, por ter uma pegada mais rústica. A praia tem águas calmas, perfeita para prática de SUP. Destaque para a Cabana do Chefe, com cadeiras estofadas e o drink anti stress, delicioso, refrescante e com apresentação linda!
