prea beach

There is absolutely nothing there unless you kitesurf. Great kitesurfing beach. Better than Jeri. But the water is not nice to just go and swim. Very choppy and lots of sloppy waves. Lots of Debris on the beach as well.

Jericoacoara is the best place to stay, and some places as west (Tatajuba) are just fine. But the "touristic" places to east are just terrible. Really, terrible. Don't waste Jericoacoara time going to Prea Beach, Lagoa Azul or Árvore da Preguiça. Despite dozens of people trying to sell you these trips, they are just not worthy, not even for free.(the only exception: Lagoa do Paraíso, which is very beautiful!)

Normal beach near Jericoacoara. Compared to the beaches to the west, this one is not that nice. Some buggies will go through this beach to go back to Jijoca.

If you kite-surf, go, go, go. It is miles and miles of beach with wind that never stops blowing and visitors from around the globe.

What a place to practice kitesurfing, long and wide beach with plenty of room, the wind shifting to side-on at 11.00am sharp and goes on until dusk. Wind gets easily above 20kts and as long as you stay away from the cape at the west of the beach (several km away) the waves stay relatively calm...

If you like. Wide beach. Is in PreaFish village where you can eat a fresh fish, and drink a Caipirinha If same on like kitesurfing , you just find the best place to do it, perfect wind for the kitesurfing , as well to learn, you will find nice clubs and instructions. For this in Prea place.Don't miss to be in a so beautiful beach like Prea

The beach is replete of algae and you have to walk kms to take a bath. The rest of the beaches are far nicer. Check the winds, winds are best from July to December. There is also a kite surfing course for kids in July-August

It was love at first sight, the beach is perfect for kite surf it's a very secluded aerea, close enough to Jeri for partying time and far enough to take it easy, sport, hang around with the locals, me and my partner ended up buying a property there! We <3 Prea!

Prea Beach was remote and extensive. Great kiting off the hotel. The cars were a bit distracting sometimes.

Great Kite-surfing beach with plenty of wind, surf and sand. It's a no brainer. Few accommodations keeps this beach off the Gringo trail.

Prea it self is a bit like a ghost town. However if you stick to the resorts it can be quite nice.The beach is beautiful, and the beach is very windy.I cannot say that this is the best windsurf / kitesurf beach Brasil has to offer. But if your traveling down the coast it is nice enough too give the place a visit. (You can get day tours here from Jericoacoara)

That's all you have...and then kitesurfers...you feel like you are in the middle of the wild, alone and it is GREAT! Prea is so typical of the Nordeste, you LOVE it or you hate it but you will never remain untouched by the bare and beautiful landscape...especially at sunset

I don´t think after been in jericoacoara is a big deal go to praia do prea.
