joaquina beach

This beach is often used for surfing competition. There are many places to eat or have a refreshing drink. Strangely, they lack toilets in a place , which is otherwise well-frequented.The other curiosity are the huge sand dunes. It is possible to practice a local sport here: sand surfing!

We were there on a beautiful sunny day. The beach was crowded but not too crowded. There seems to b a shortage of parking and public bathrooms, but the beach seems safe and is beautiful.

it is a very beatiful beach, also with the Dunas where you can climb and go down with a sandy board ( rent by very little price).also there is restaurants and you can take a shower of fresh water after the beach.

When the weather is really hot, there's nothing better than going to Joaquina's cold waters! If you want confort, you can sit at the tables in the entrance of the beach and ask for a beer and enjoy your view :)

Atmospheric, crowded if you want it or not if you walk along for a few minutes. Give sand boarding a go in the nearby sand dunes, but there are no ski lifts to take you up so you'll do some exercise. Beware of transport links! Bus took easily over an you to arrive, and then there was a tonne of traffic. There were no taxis. I didn't have the patience and ran back to Lago de concenciao.

Great Beach with lots of beautiful people.Also spent NYE on this beach for the beach parties and it didn't disappoint.A must for anyone going to floripa.

Nice beach but water is quite cold - good for surfers. Possibility to eat there - you can choose just snack or go for restaurant for a meal. Water is clean. Sometime little but crowded.

little choice in restaurants and expensive. Great surf on lovely big beach. Good parties in the evening but really out of the way to get to. In high season time the bus properly or you will get in serious traffic jams. Good for sand dune surfing

Beautiful views , sand dunes, animated, fit surfers ...but not safe & a bit too crowded for us...! We saw about 6 sea rescues from the life guards...

Wonderful beach, also suited for surfing and nice place to view. The restaurants are a bit over-prized and the place is somewhat touristic .

There's a good balance here with a selection of bars and restaurants at the "town" end of the beach but it was only a short walk to get beyond them and enjoy a more natural beach. Public transport to and from the beach is a bit limited so make sure you know when to catch your bus home. Good day out though.

This is one of the most beautiful places I have been so far. The surfing community gives it a nice hype vibe.

Great beach...sometimes it gets little bit crowded but its alrught! tha water is pretty calm for swmming and it has good waves for surfing as well! worth it!!!

This beach was fun. We got drinks made in pineapples and coconuts, there were lots of surfers, and they have surfing classes as well. A fairly busy beach though. Some vendors here which was neat, they aren't all over you like in some other countries.

Near Praia Mole, this beach is gorgeous and has sand dunes. You can rent a sandboard and go have fun. This activity is very affordable and very pleasant to go during the sunset. Awesome view!
