While on a business trip to Sao Paulo, we visited Hotel Unique at the recommendation of one in our group who had been here before to spend the evening enjoying a few drinks on the rooftop “Sky Bar”. The first impression after seeing the “uniquely” shaped hotel is when you walk in through what are the largest doors I have ever seen. So large you wonder if you can move them (they are made of carbon fiber or I’m sure most would not be able to move them). We ended up getting to Hotel Unique before the Sky Bar was open (opens at 6 pm) and spent some time in the lobby bar with an attentive and colorful local bartender being introduced to the local drink – Caipirinha - which is made with a sugar cane hard liquor called cachaça, sugar and lime. The lobby bar features a very impressive wall of liquors (see accompanying photo), with a very rare edition of Louis XXIII cognac located centrally on the wall that was priced at the time of this writing at R$3450 or ~$1150 per 50 ml / 2 oz!! We moved up to the Sky bar after it opened at 6 pm and enjoyed the impressive view (see attached photo over the rooftop pool), eating finger foods and having a few drinks. Service at the bar and the food we ordered was OK (not great), and the menu on the patio was pretty limited, which was disappointing as we did not want to go inside to have a proper meal as we would have waited (hotel guests have priority) and we would have lost our seats on the outside patio, but oh well. The place was hopping, and well worth the 20-min cab ride we took out there from where we were staying in the Pinheiros district of Sao Paulo. If you are going to visit Hotel Unique to hang out in the Sky Bar, I’d suggest grabbing an early dinner somewhere else first if you want to spend time outside near the pool as it fills up very fast and you'll end up in what was might be quite a long queue. And plan to drop a few R$ – definitely worth spending the evening, but you do pay for the views.
The poolside bar has great view of the city, and very hip. Food was quite good and if there is one thing to note it would be that there was a Vogue party the same night which made the place crowded and busy but this comes with the trendy I guess... interesting hangout.
This was a must go for us while in São Paolo! We went on our last night in the city which was a Thursday which was busy, but only had to wait 25 min to get seated. Hotel guests have first priority in getting seated for dinner until 730pm if I remember correctly. We had some drinks on the outside deck which is downright STUNNING! The view is incredible and the drinks and amazing. The host came to get us when our table was ready so there was no issue there. While at dinner the service was far beyond my expectations and the food was amazing! I will say... The menu is a little pricey but it is well worth it. I will visit again when I come back.
Nice view! I have been there by night, but sunset is probably also very beautiful! Food at the bar is pizzas with soy sauce ?! But the meals at table service is excellent! A bit pricy.
I did not stay here. I drank here. You go here for the architecture, which is fantastic. Seems a cliche when you first see the images, but when you are there, look for the details - from the lining of the pebbles, to the metal touches, the entry doors (to die for) and the bar backdrop decor. Its worth a visit for any architecture buff.
I did not stay there but had some time at the terrace. Both of the bars at the entrance and at the roof are lovely and worth spent time. The architecture, pool at the roof and the view of Sao Paulo from the terrace make s the hotel; unique !
Fantastic views, great ambiance. If there is a line it is worth the wait. The views from the top are breathtaking, and you get to see the whole city.
We went there because my boyfriend gas to stay in at least one skye bar in every city he visites but it was worth it.It's abit expensive for Brasilian standard bit on the average for the italian one.You can't only go up and exit, you have to drink something and the least price for a cocktail is 30 reales, but when you are there you'll love it!You can see the wonderful skyline of San Paolo drinking and chatting...what do you want more?
We stayed at Hotel Unique two nights and found the experience to be truly outstanding. The hotel itself is quite an architectural wonder with extraordinary lobby and common areas. The room was a bit small for the price but very interesting and comfortable. Roomy bath and separate shower. The one disappointment was dining. This is the only fine hotel we have stayed that room service, pool and bar, and the formal restaurant all have the same menu. Food was excellent but generally we look for a bit more variety in the formal restaurant (Skye) than on room service. The pool and Skye bar area are spectacular with incredible views of surrounding Sao Paulo. Be aware that the neighborhood is safe but fairly far from most places that you want to be. The highlight of the entire experience was some of the most charming, helpful and pleasant front desk staff that we have EVER dealt with--particularly Carol and Samuel. We had, for us, an unusual number of issues that needed some help, and they were unfailingly prompt, courteous and extremely helpful (if you call for something you need, you may as well get up and start to the door to answer the porter or front desk person themselves who will be there with whatever you need. They were truly five star in their service and I give them highest kudos. In short, a luxury hotel worth what you pay.

If you want a luxury experience in SP, Unique is THE PLACE ! Don' t forget to go up in the skye Bar, an amazing panoramic vue of SP, and a good restaurant.
This hotel is aply named - it's definately worth visiting even if it's just to have a drink on the rooftop bar or dinner with a view. Enjoyed myself immensely during dinner and drinks. My meal here was one of the best I had in Sao Paulo. The only things I didn't like about the hotel were the tiny, dark elevators and the pitch black hallways at night.
Wow, what a view! What a Building! Sneek inside via the door aside the Entrance to the bar ubique and see the great lobby of the hotel! In the evening you can see all the colorful lights of the towers and buildings, so fascinating when you life not in a big city like us!
A must to visit in São Paulo: unique architecture, fantastic design of its interiors (including the lobby and its bar) and mostly, a roof top bar/splanade with a skyline view over São Paulo city and park.
