Caverna do Diabo is a fantastic cave with huge salons and lost of impressive geological formations in a superb scale.But visiting this cave is like seing a lion at a zoo. The cave is crossed by walkways that interfere with the experience and the main features are illuminated. The illumination is actually great, and is turned on only when a tourist group is in a given place. A great place for pictures, and a fine introduction to what a cave is. And don't get me wrong: it is a breathtaking experience, worth the "very good" rating.But if you are like me and like a more natural setting, drive the 36 km to the PETAR park in Iporanga where there are plenty of unspoiled caves.

If you are around the area you must make a visit to the Caverna do Diabo.It will take you about an hour from when you leave the main highway until you make your way up to the cave.The cave is just Grand and beautiful.The visit to the cave takes about an hour, and it is a guided tour.wear closed shoes.If you leave yourself some extra time you can try the different trails that they have at the park..

The cave is impressive. Well lighted so your pics will come out great. With extra time one can enjoy walks around the area with different degrees of dificulty. The forest around the cave is also wonderful. A nice restaurant is available. Cash only. You should also go to the other nearby caves on the Petar park. They´ve 12 other open for visiting out of the 300 found so far.

The Devil's Cave (Caverna do Diabo) in the south of the state of Sao Paulo, is the main cave in the region. Amazing stalactites, stalagmites and other structures lend breathtaking beauty to this cave. But what's most striking is its size. There are huge halls and chambers with fabulous speleothems, so if you enjoy spelunking, this is a great place.There is a visitor center with a restaurant and restrooms. Admission is around US$ 7 (R$15), which includes the mandatory guide.Inside the cave, you will step on walkways all the way, so there's little risk. However, the place is not accessible to the disabled. The place is undergoing electrical renovation, so light fixtures will be replaced soon. The place looks a bit dark, but that only adds to the magic. There is a downside, though. First, accessibility. The place lies around 3 hours away from the state capital and the roads are in awful state, full of potholes and haven't had maintenance is years. Second, the cities around the park offer few options to travelers. Make sure you bring hard cash, because there are few ATMs and your credit card may not be accepted. Third, guides are usually certified local people who do not speak foreign languages. So make sure you get all info before you go, as they can only tell you basic info about the speleothems. Do not expect expert opinion.Fourth, there are few accommodation options in the nearest town Eldorado, so you'll have to book somewhere in Iporanga so as to be able to visit other caves. Besides, you'll need at least 3 days to see the region. Driving all the way just to visit the Devil's cave is not worth it, so make sure you visit the other caves in the Petar park, 22 km (13 miles) away along bumpy roads.

Apesar de ter iluminação artificial, as formações de estalactites da caverna são lindíssimas, me encantei.

Lindas formações rochosas, com jogo de iluminação bacana. Ótima pra tirar fotos. Fácil acesso pra todas as idades e cadeirantes.

Apesar desta caverna ser bem estruturada podendo levar toda a família...ela é linda, grandiosa....vale muito a pena visitar. Adorei...estalaquititis imensos. Muitas atrações.Passeio para toda familia.

Vale a pena conhecer, meio caminho entre sp e curitiba, otima estrutura, visita guiada de mais ou menos 1 hora, trilha de uns 700 m com passarelas e iluminacao. Bom programa pra levar criancas.

Muito bonita, estrutura exelente, custo baixo, valeu a pena sair de Curitiba percorrer 240km para conhecer este lugar de extrema beleza, tem um restaurante na entrada com uma comida simples mais bem temperada, leve uma boa lanterna ele e muito bem iluminada mais com uma lanterna vc vai ver os detalhes.

Um calor infernal lá fora, mas ao entrar na caverna logo se percebe um ambiente refrescante. Com formações impressionantes, essa caverna é de tirar o folego. Semelhante a olhar nuvens, a cada olhar se imagina algo diferente. Os guias são atenciosos e o restaurante é a salvação da pátria nesse fim de mundo e por incrível que pareça tinha Malzibier!

Gruta muito bonita, com salões muito amplos, que todos devem conhecer, principalmente as crianças, porque os monitores dão uma super aula sobre o local. Só não esqueçam de levar repelente, porque até a entrada da gruta, a quantidade de pernilongos é muito grande.

Pra quem sempre teve curiosidade de entrar numa caverna e não tinha coragem, aqui vc vai se sentir seguro, o passeio é guiado e conta com excelente iluminação, passarelas e escadas. Fora há todo suporte com banheiros limpos e um grande restaurante. Vale a pena principalmente para crianças. A dica é ter mais de 1 dia para não ficar tão cansativo o bate-volta pra quem vem de SP, eu por exemplo aproveitei e fui visitar Curitiba, a estrada da graciosa e o trem da serra do mar, tudo com 2 dias e meio, um roteiro bacana de se fazer. Caverna bem iluminada e com estrutura interna extremamente acessível, com corrimãos, escadas e caminhos cimentados. Custo benefício excelente, além de conter outras atrações interessantes no parque, como mirante do governador, trilhas e cachoeiras. O restaurante tem uma vista belíssima e os pratos são muito bem servidos, só não há muitas opções no menu.

Muito boa opção de passeio principalmente para quem mora em São Paulo, pois é perto e dá para fazer um bate e volta. A caverna é muito interessante

Simplesmente maravilhoso. Vale a pena conhecer. Gostaria de retornar pois, o local é digno de uma obra prima de Deus. A nota realmente teria que ser 10000000000000000. É um lugar muito pouco divulgado em meu estado, Rio Grande do Sul.
