After the long drive, we finally arrive to this place. there were too many people that time but I do not wonder why. the place is perfectly awesome!
Took the kids down to Warrnambool and loved every minute. Great town, great vibe and beautiful scenery!!Did the cliff walk from Thunder Point back towards the breakwater. Its an easy walk (you can even take a pram) and the kids loved it. We even spided some Pengiuns over on Middle island!
We almost drove past this gem, given we were so over sightseeing and getting out of the car with our cameras every 5 mins. But if you are going to save something, save this rock stack formation. Even better if the weather is rough and windy. Probably not so good if it is raining at thee same time.
This was our first view of the Great Ocean Road coast as we were driving from Adelaide to Melbourne. The sun was shinning and the view was awesome. What a start for our coastal drive. Do not miss this look out.
As part of the GOR and the experiences gained you must include Bay of Islands as part of the overall package.
Bay of islands is just beautiful regardless of weather. The whole ocean road trip is well worth the time to see these stunning coastline views and amazing nature carved rocks. What entry price does Victoria charge for seeing such wonderful natural phenomena ... it's free . Of course it will cost you if you go on a tour or hire a car... Or pay for petrol etc. but worth it.
I had no idea I lived a few hours away from one of the most incredible areas in the world. Take a few days to explore the area; you will be sorry if you don't allow a few days.
As with the Twelve Apostles and London bridge, all stunning. Plenty of parking and only a short walk to view this fabulous area. Choose a sunny day if possible, and don't forget you can get a cuppa and food at the Twelve Apostles info centre and cafe
It's really amazing when you see the rocks on the sea. The scene will just make you awe the power of mother nature. It's a good place to go if you feel need to be release from the urban jungle :)
The grounds were well kept and the plant were well looked after also the restaurant good . Also the wild life in the park
Stunning scenery with lots of walks for all abilities. Highly recommend hiring a car and taking a week to drive along the Great Ocean Road to take in this stunning place.
Had a great time driving along the great ocean road and stopping at all the sights. The twelve apostles is truly breathtaking and humbling. The gigantic limestone stacks are a must see when traveling that way. Lots of photo opportunities from different vantage points. There's also a little cafe, public rest rooms and helicopter rides available.
This was our 1st stop on the drive along the great ocean rd. A beautiful vista of rock formations and cliffs that we just stared for some time. The day was sunny & windy but cool in January with the sea just a little choppy. We had other sights to see so we dragged ourselves away.
The Bay of Islands was our first stop on the Great Ocean Road. We did our trip in Kombis and are from the Darling Downs in Qld. So for us this is one of the most memorable lookouts throughout our whole trip. This was our we made it! With a quick stroll up the well maintained path, we were at one of the look outs. One of the most stunning views you will ever see. The contrasting colours from the lime stone cliffs, to that beautiful crystal clear blue water, is just simply amazing. Its worth the drive and the stop to check it out!!!
The walk is easy and the views spectacular - you can scramle over the rocks, of walk along the beach - both are fun and interesting
