If your doing one of the bus tours of the island for the Penguin Walk you will most likely see this area, most tours go here just before they end at the Penguin Walk. This center has only been there a couple years. It is a very impressive view and great for some photos. You will see many of the Penguin boxes and may even see some Penguins.

Very disappointed to see most of the items for sale at the Nobbys Centre came from Peru or overseasSurely we can access scarves, jumpers, ponchos fromAustralia ?????Restaurant closed when we visited

We just dropped in here prior to our Penguin Parade experience - which eclipsed this place - but worth spending some time here if you are going to see the penguins - but, IMHO, not worth the effort to come here just for this

Undeniably perfect view! One of the best spot in victoria and is definitely a must-visit place. Highly recommended. two thumbs up!

Visited Nobbies Centre in late November 2014 as part of a Gray Line bus tour itinerary ("Penguin Parade with Penguins Plus.") Visiting from Singapore we are used to HEAT and HUMIDITY year-round, so we were glad we remembered to bring some light jackets/sweaters on our trip. On our visit there was a lot of whipping winds which made it quite cool. We enjoyed walking the boardwalks and taking lots of scenic pictures. Unfortunately the day we were there the walkway to the blowhole was closed due to some sort of work being done on the planks, so we couldn't see it up close. Inside the visitor's centre is a gift shop, play area and arcade for the kids as well as a cafeteria. We ordered a fish-and-chips entree which was quite good. From here, our last stop on the aforementioned Gray Line bus tour took us to the Penguin Parade area a short drive away.

An absolutely wonderful viewing point. Great to see the penguins asleep in their little holes. The walking track down the coast is well laid out and there was plenty if parking. The free visitors centre is informative and the cafe is well priced.

It is one of the best spot in Phillip island. The day we went was very cool and even in the day time we managed spot some Penguins. Nice souvenior shop and cafeteria.

The nobbies and blow hole provide tourists with just spectacular views. The feeling once you are out there is in explainable. However the food stall is expensive for no good reason and usually jam packed. It can get quite stuffy and suffocating when you want to take a food break. However you forget all these once you are out there in the open.

Came here 28 Feb 2015 and kids enjoyed seeing some FREE penguins ( compared to last nights visit at the penguin parade - what a mess that was). Kids and adults enjoyed The Nobbies, the walk along the boardwalks, seeing some penguins, the discovery centre, the playground, the kiosk and the gift shop. Never disappointed when we visit.

I loved the view - definately worth a stop whilst you are there. You can buy food/drinks there but the cafe's menu is a bit limited and expensive.

See Seal Rocks through a telescope, the Nobbies Centre visual display, walk the board walks, have a meal or snack in the cafe or simply enjoy the great views.

There is a boardwalk with views of the ocean and Eagle Rock. Its a leisurely stroll and you might be lucky enough to see a penguin in its burrow. Great place for scenic photos.

Inside, it's just another tourist shop, full of Chinese made souvenirs.Outside is another story. There's a great wooden walkway (lots of steps though) where you can get a great view of Nobbies and seal rock. There are often Little Penguins in the man made burrows, and they pop their gorgeous little heads out.At high tide, when it's a bit rough and windy, the blow hole looks great.TIP - Get there early! I've been there some times and it's hard to get parking and the crowds are overwhelming. Also, if you stop along the way, on the right hand side there are a few beaches you can visit, and the penguins are often amongst the bushes near the tracks. But PLEASE stick to the tracks! The fauna and flora are very fragile.

Unless you like being part of a machine for generating cash for Philip Island,,,,,I can only imagine they have sacrificed this area for conservation of something else....other wise why would they run this place? See other reviews ... I visited on 13tn Feb so not in school holidays .... It was heaving ... We thought we'd been transported to China! Thousands and thousands of Chinese tourists ,,,,, more tourists than penguins. If you like your nature natural, don't do this trip!
