We recently discovered that Cloud 9 Farm had opened its doors to the public for sales of their wines and cheeses. The property location is stunning set on a hillside with glorious views to the north over rolling hill country. The cellar door is sited to make maximum use of the views.This family run business although small is producing some quality product, the wines are mainly shiraz merlot blends and great value. The real winner is the cheeses, they do a camembert style soft cheese called White Velvet, a cheddar and a grana or parmesan style cheese all made from their own herd of Dexter/Jersey cattle.They also offer a great cheese platter and wines by the glass, just ideal for a lazy afternoon.
