My husband and I took our two daughters to do the two hour trail ride and it was great. None of us had a lot of riding experience and we were all very nervous about completing the ride, but the staff were wonderful and took the time to explain the basics before we set off. One of my daughters was particularly nervous and almost changed her mind but one staff member Damon was very patient, helpful and calmed her right down before we set off. They chose the perfect horses for all four of us and the trail itself was up and down tracks through the Bunyip state forest...very pretty and challenging but lots of fun. I recommend Ryders Horse Riding Tours to everyone.

Our family of 4 drove about an hour from the Melbourne CBD for an hour's trail ride at Ryders Horse riding Tours. Please note that they were previously known as Tonimbuk Trail Rides. Being city folks from Singapore, we are novice riders, only riding when we have an opportunity to on holiday. Daman and a nice young lady were very patient with my younger daughter (12) who had a slight mishap with a horse last year in Perth. (I thought it would be good for her to overcome her new phobia and get back in the sadle.) She initially started her ride with a little apprehension, but was all smiles by the end of it!The horses assigned to us, Tiger, Toby and 2 others were sweet with seemingly good temperament. Our ride through parts of Bunyip State park had some slight slopes but was easy, serene, peaceful and a nice change from the concrete jungles we're accustomed to. The pace was right for our level and clear instructions were given at all times. We really enjoyed our time at Ryders Horse Riding Tours and wished we could've done it again.
