Located in the middle of town directly opposite the hotel, the Centre is definitely worth a visit if you are staying in Harrow or passing through. In fact you should go out of your way to come here and explore the oldest inland town in Victoria including the Discovery Centre. There are exhibits relating to indigenous heritage, early settlement, wartime history and most particularly the fascinating story of Johnny Mullagh and the Aboriginal cricket team which visited England in 1868. The Centre also encompasses the historic old bank building where you can stand behind the counter. Entry is by donation.

I'm ashamed ... I live within an hour of Harrow. I needed to visit for work ... A small town with the best visitor centre I have seen. Not overdone, but informative and VERY, VERY well done. I am not a "notice board" reader, but this place had me intrigued! There is also a whole room dedicated to Sir Donald Bradman ... complete with his "baggy green".WELL DONE HARROW ... I will send everyone to you! I am officially OBSESSED!

What a delight this village is, with its quaint old houses, a wonderful old pub, a tiny camping ground at the end of the village and especially the Discovery Centre. I am a “cricket widow”, but this centre was so well set out, maintained and presented, I really enjoyed it. It is centred on the first XI cricket team to go to England in the 1860’s, which was an all Aboriginal Team. It has information, photographs and memorabilia on the players, their uniforms, and their achievements in England. There is also a section on Bradman which is changed on a regular basis. The discovery Centre and Harrow is a little gem!
