Just a really nice place. A beautiful view across the valley to the Glass House Mountains, very nice and easy walk for all through the rain forest, and with the whip birds calling. Nature at its best and just so easy too.

You cannot come to Maleny and not visit Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve! It is so beautiful. You must do the rainforest walk... stunning... Bring some walking shoes to be comfortable. When you finish the walk, relax at the cafe and enjoy the views of the Glass House Mountains...You Will love this...

Great place for a walk. Lots of good information on local wildlife. Nice cafe with great views and plenty space for kids to run and play or for a picnic

Beautiful! We got there at 5.45 am to hear the dawn chorus as recommended by a kind lady at the Maleny Visitor Centre. Very atmospheric!

We visited the reserve after a break of many years. I had forgotten how lovely it is! Starting with the panoramic view across the Glass House mountain, then moving through the information area, with lots to interest everyone, both adults and children, you then make a gold coin donation and enter the rainforest walk. The walk is flat and well maintained - there are certainly more boardwalks than I remember. This park was one of the first places that I heard the cat bird after emigrating from the UK over 30 years ago, and today was no different! The cat-bird call would have to be one of the most unusual calls around. Of course there was also the whip bird calling repeatedly - sometimes (but not always!) being answered by his mate. In spite of the number of people around, we met someone who showed us pictures of the pademelon that they had seen. There are many, many information boards to read, so the walk can be done in a short time or a longer time if you read all the information. Incidentally, one of the circuits advertises itself as being wheelchair accessible. The cafe seems to be bigger and better-equipped than I remember plus today there was live music on offer. I notice that many posters are from the Brisbane area - come on folks, let's make sure that we bring our overseas visitors up here!

Very inexpensive, gold coin entry fee, well maintained walking track. No mud. Suitable for non bushwalkers as there are no hills etc.

The views over the Glasshouse Mountains is spectacular. Nice to go somewhere that you don't have to fork out money to have a look! :D

This reserve is on the edge overlooking the beautiful Glasshouse Mountains. The park is filled with Australian native trees which makes it cool walking on a hot humid day, A curators house to explain the bird & tree species, also a nice café overlooking the view of the mountains.

Come early to beat the crowds and enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the Glasshouse mountains. There is a cafe next door but the views are much nicer from the reserve.

Nice park to have a picknick, the restaurant is expensive but great view. Awesome view of glasshouse mountains on the other side of the road. You can only take a walk thru the rainforest if you pay a gold coin 'donation' fee.Again its a pitty that people insist on being loud and obnoxious at these kind of places where most people go to enjoy peace and quiet and enjoy the natural beauty of the place. Maybe because it was the holidays its probably not as busy at other times

There is a nice picnic area and rest rooms, the bush walk starts in the information area were you will receive loads of information about the area and wildlife by some dedicated staff you can then make a gold coin donation and off you go, it is a lovely walk and quite easy nice for most the family

This is an easy walk, well worth the stop, the view over looking the glass house mountains is breath taking. The walk itself into the rainforest is gorgeous, plenty of board walks too. There is a big picnic area and lots of parking. Toilets and a café are there too

Loved seeing the Pademelons grazing and so many different birds. There are some very helpful panels which give some information about the wildlife in the area.

A gold coin donation is all you need for a fab nature experience.Bring your camera and binoculars - Pademelons, Whipbirds and pythons are just the start.
