We are in our sixties . We took it slowly and had lots of water to drink on a hot day, stopping several times to gather our breath. We were rewarded at the summit with some fantastic views over the coast and a sense of achievement. The path is quite easy to negotiate if you wear sensible shoes and take your time.

A short climb(45 minutes at the most) to get the blood pumping in the morning. This is a nice little trek with great views as a reward at the top. Make sure to take a bottle of water, and also avoid the hot part of the day as there is very little shade. It's well worth the visit, and for the exercise alone i'll be revisiting many times.

Many years since I climbed this mountain (28 to be precise) with my Husband and children. I still recall the exhilaration of reaching the highest point and the wonderful views. Take a picnic and relax , you won`t regret it.

If you are up on the sunny coast. Take an hour out of your day in the morning or evening to put your shoes on and climb on up. The view is amazing!

A great easy climb with pathways cut out of stones and rock. An awesome view when you get to the top!!!!! Takes about an hour round trip for someone of moderate fitness,

I last did this walk about 10 years ago & it was a rough track then. The track has been substantially upgraded by National Parks since then with good stone steps on the steepest section. I arrived this morning to a sealed carpark & a caravan with drinks & snacks ( at 7.00 am ). The ascent took an easy 30 mins with several stops to take photos of spectacular views, plants & wildlife. Lots of locals on the track doing their morning cardio workout. The descent also took about 30 mins. Be sure to wear closed, supportive shoes as track is very uneven in places. I'd call it a good hike, rather than a climb, but you do need to be reasonable fit. Would not advise for anyone with knee or hip problems, as steep descent is very jarring. Its a short, but pretty steep track & is physically demanding, but worth the effort.

We climbed on a saturday morning as a family, after much procrastinating we arrived at about 9am which is not ideal due to the heat... although we managed it quite well being from the tropics. We also only wore snadals, rubber thongs and one was barefoot... its completely doable, although not advisable! Took about an hour up and back - view was fanstic up the top! great way to start a day!

Great for every age as long as you are fit. Take a camera and your water bottle. Good hiking shoes. Very steep climb most of the way. took us 45 minutes at a good pace to reach top.

This is a very hard club but totally worth it. The view at the top is amazing - can see the whole way up & down the Sunshine Coast.

I've climbed Mt Coolum on a number of occasions ... it offers fantastic views of the northern Sunshine Coast and Hinterland. You can see as far as Noosa north and Mooloolaba to the south. Make sure you climb it EARLY - at 7am or earlier - as it gets HOT on ascent!Enjoy!

Another great walk, with plenty of steps. Start early to avoid the heat of the day. Great views in all directions from the top. No particularly difficult parts to this walk, well laid out.

This is a great walk. Make sure you take water and don't go in the middle of the day. Magnificent views once you get to the top. It's about 45 mins to the top and the same back down.

The path up this imposing mountain is now upgraded and much improved. There are rock stairs everywhere making the climb 'easier' though it can be an effort on a warm day. There are heaps of places to stop and admire the view along the way and some interesting information stations telling about the wildlife on the mountain. There is little shade in the upper half of the climb so take plenty of fluids with you as the sunshine can be strong - the path is steep in places. There was a van selling drinks in the car park when we were there which was very welcome on the hot day. Some of the rocks on the path are dusty making them really slippery so take care on these. Overall the wonderful view along the way and from the top makes it well worth the effort.

This is a favourite outing for us as locals and for all our visitors, it can be done as a leisurely if somewhat tiring walk or a cardio workout, it's up to the individual. Once the summit is achieved the rewarding view of the Sunshine Coastline is spectacular.
