Great cheese and lunch. Was a lovely setting and awesome to see the production of cheese from the cows to the factory. Would definitely recommend a visit!

What a wonderful setup. Lovely food & coffee, views over the farm land was relaxing. Kids are able to see cows up close. Lots of cheese tasting, some of their cheese is a little expensive, but very tasty.

Stopped briefly on the way to the Falls and watched the cows for a while, then on the way back we tasted and were informed about the various cheddars then had hot chocolate and cake. Worth stopping - sit outside and enjoy the view whilst you drink and eat.

We saw the dairy on our drive to the St. Columba Falls (Reviewed by me separately) but decided not to stop because the weather was nice, which is something you don't disregard in Tasmania.......And we wanted to see the falls first!!We stopped at the dairy on our way back, which was a good decision. The short walk at the falls also improved our appetites....The Pyengana Dairy is beautifully designed and the cheeses are great. We listened to a briefing about the dairy and were given lots of cheeses to taste.Surely enough, we drove off with quite a load of excellent cheddar cheeses of different flavours and types.Great Cheese!! MUST visit!!

Great stop following a visit to nearby St Columba Waterfall. Informative cheese tasting, all cheddars but so different. Recommend the hot chocolate made with their own creamy milk.

The Holy Cow Cafe is situated at the front of a working diary farm. Coffee can be enjoyed from the court yard overlooking spectacular hills. During cooler months large cafe windows provide the same view but protected from the elements.The cafe serves a variety of food with a small section set aside for cheese tastings. Excellent variety of cheeses are available. Prices are a little high but the cheeses are superb, I purchased three types and were not disappointed along with my friends with whom I shared it with. Well worth the 2 km's off the main drag down another Tasmanian pretty road. The Pub in the paddock is another kilometre down the road.

We had lunch at the cafe and it was very ordinary. Two of us ordered macaroni cheese and the other a Ploughman's platter. We had almost finished our meal before the platter came. Couldn't figure that one out as it certainly should have been out first at least! We had to ask the waitress to check. I personally think they had forgotten it. Macaroni cheese was like it had just been slopped out of a big pot. Not sure what I was expecting, but thought it should have been better than what it was. Personally would not stop here again.

Absolutely loved the area, the falls and this Holy Cow cafe. Just lovely. We ordered our lunc, awesome pies and salad! The service was friendly, couldn't do enough to help us.mloved the outlook to the dairy and the cheeses were wonderful. A visit did not disappoint.

As we all know Wallace loves his cheese, and if he visited Pyengana, he would still be there eating the superb Cheddar, the ice cream and other wonderful foods. A short drive from St Helens, but a must do if visiting this area.

Great cheese tasting and talk on the cheeses. Just had to purchase some to have with our wine and crackers. Friendly service. Nice coffee. A very popular place and very busy so don't be in a hurry your on holiday.

We visited the Cafe on a Sunday afternoon and had a great time. We had some meals which were delicious, large serves and well priced, the kids had milkshakes which came in a very trendy jar and my husband and I had a great cup of coffee. The lady doing the cheese tasting was fantastic; so enthusiastic and well informed. The tasty cheddar is amazing! The kids loved playing on the play ground and watching the cows come in to be robotically milked. Great service, relaxed atmosphere and a beautiful view

Stopped here for refreshments when doing a car trip to Columba Falls, cheese tasting very good and informal - no hard sell and cheese was purchased for later use. Café had run out of coffee at the end of the day but teas and hot chocolate filled the gap, chocolate brownie with cream did the business, good size play area for the kids outside.

We are visitors to Tasmania. We ordered pizza and burgers. The pizza was so good that we cannot resist the taste by ordering one more. Service was good and the staff were helpful with smiling faces. Highly recommend for visitors to come for food here.

The Dairy was recommended to us in St. Helens on the strength of its milkshakes.Maybe I misheard. Maybe they just meant milk. The shakes were rubbish.The milk was nice, as milk goes, but the milkshakes were nothing to write home about. The strawberry was bland and had little flavour, the chocolate was a bit better but far from anything to rave about.We would maybe have been able to offer a review of the food but the staff were rude to the point of standoffish. I did not feel inclined towards following up our milkshake with a meal when the man at the counter would barely acknowledge me.The view was nice, standard for the region, and the milk itself was fine but I really couldn't give it beyond two stars based on decent milk and a view. Skip it, but not the falls.

We had high hopes visiting here during our summer holiday to the east coast of Tas. First the good points, kids enjoyed watching the cows coming in for milking, good selection of merchandise in the store, food that other diners were eating looked appetising (although we didn't actually try the food). The cheese which we tasted was very nice.Definite room for improvement with the coffees ( lukewarm, too dilute and sloshed and spilt by the time it arrived at our table). We waited patiently for the cheese tasting counter inside and unfortunately the gentleman doing the cheese serving decided to not acknowledge us for the whole time we were waiting. I understand completely that they cannot do continuous cheese tasting and that we need to wait, but do your customers a favour and at least acknowledge them and say something along the lines of 'I'll be with you shortly.' I never understand when service staff are busy and choose to simply ignore customers. We tasted the cheese and I asked whether the server would be happy to tell us a little about the dairy and its operations. Evidently not, as he said he was only here to do cheese tasting. It is Marketing 101 to engage customers with your brand by giving them compelling information about provenance and history of your product ( especially when your customer requests it). Anyway, not today.I enjoyed the cheese and we spent up big buying cheese for home, as we wanted to support Tas industry, but to be honest, the service really needs to lift if they want repeat customers.I am sure it is not like this everyday, but unfortunately this was our experience.
