I first visited Brook Eden in 2008 and it's the only winery I do not miss when I return to Tasmania. I've since become a member and look forward to receiving my pack every 3-4 months. I find the service - both in person when I drop in and dealing via email/phone - personal and fluid. The wines are incredible - they're Watersedge Pinot is my all time favourite Pinot ever! I also love the whites and bubbles but I can't pass up the Pinot Noir! I find myself having a personal battle when it comes to friends (or clients) birthdays - I want everyone to enjoy Brook Edens Pinot but I hate giving away from my personal supply!! Do call in and visit - from the ducks on the damn as you drive in, to the chickens scratching free range in the garden - this winery is the perfect example of gorgeous country relaxed lifestyle. Don't miss Brook Eden!

I loved visiting Brook Eden Vineyard, driving up the long lane way passing the dams (filled with platypus!) over a hill, vineyards on either side, olive trees and beautiful walking paths, rolling hills and cattle grazing.. very peaceful and relaxed .. Ed and Annette the owners were fabulous at introducing the various wines and styles.. it was hard to choose!

Gorgeous setting matched by excellent wines (hint try the vintage Pinot Gris - you won't taste better anywherebelieve it) and charming host in Annette and Ed who have put their other lives behind them and have made the transition to the life they dreamed of.If you ask nicely, Ed might take you to the lake and you may be lucky to spot a platypus or two.Thoroughly recommend this winery to anyone passing through the area.

Owner's notes:Brook Eden is a small, family-owned, sustainably managed vineyard and producer of elegant, true cool-climate wines. The cellar door is open for tastings and sales during Summer, Spring and Autumn, but you will need to call ahead in Winter as we may not be there. Our vineyard is nestled in the Pipers Brook valley. At 41º South latitude, we have extended sunshine hours per day in summer and are cooled by the winds of the Southern Ocean. Our old, non-irrigated vines must struggle a little as they slowly ripen their fruit during a growing season which is one of the longest in Australia. This long slow ripening produces fruit with exceptional flavour and aroma and an ideal balance of sugar and acid.
