chinese heritage mining area

This museum is fantastic! Details the history of tin mining and the Chinese in and around the area! A stunning museum in such a small place!

There are so many interesting snippets of history around here - the water race, the old shafts, - talk to the owners at Tin Dragon Cottages, Christine and Graham - heaps to see. Derby is a gem too - go and see the Tunnel!!

We did this as a short family bushwalk in early spring - beautiful birds and wildflowers, loved the displays and a great story in the interpretation centre - our four year old was fascinated. Great spot, very interesting.

A good place to take visitors to, friendly. Would definately go back.
