We found the variety wines and the service ta this winery excellent.Would recommend to any wine buff to visit and taste.
If you are doing wine tasting in the Barossa Valley, do not miss the opportunity to check out some of the best Shiraz in the world from the Kellermeister Winery. once you have made your decision to purchase some of this fantastic wine, sit down with a cider and cheese platter and enjoy the view.
This is an amazing place to sit down with a bottle of wine and a cheese platter. Definitely the highlight of our trip!
As the first stop of the day Kellermeister set an impressively high bar, no other winery met it. We had a tour group of 16 friends and got fantastic service. Shown the largest range of wines of any winery visited, the region and each wine explained in detail. We spent more time here than allocated with absolutely no regrets. After tasting the normal, usual wines we were offered the sweet range which were fantastic plus the cider they produce. As a result I think everyone in our group made a purchase.Definitely a highlight of the day.
We are so sorry you had a disappointing experience yesterday. Being a family owned winery we want our customers to receive an enjoyable and personal experience and this does not sound like what you received and again we sincerely apologise for this. We would like to offer you the opportunity to enjoy our wines with a complimentary platter of your choice at the winery. Please contact me directly at susanna@kellermeister.com.au for me to arrange this at a day and time convenient for you.Kind regardsSusanna Pearce
Thank you so much for kind review - we are so glad you enjoyed our monthly Spit night and then came back to celebrate with friends and soak up the view with our local platters.
Had two of the three platters, Salmon and Barossa Meats, both absolutely delicious. Sitting on the front verandah overlooking the Barossa Valley under a gas heater, stunning. The service is always 10/10. The woman behind the counter enjoy sharing a laugh and a joke, whilst having alot of knowledge. Highly recommend as a stop on your tour.
The last wine stop for us at barossa ended with a happy note although we had an unhappy start at penfolds. The winery has a beautiful view overseeing a hill with roaming cows and inside, is warm and cosy with a friendly lady who served us in her best attitude although there were streaming visitors after us. Do try the smoked salmon platter while tasting the wines. It tastes really good
Paid a short visit here and was made to feel very welcome. The atmosphere was wonderful and the wines and cider were very enjoyable. A big warm open fire welcomed us and there are spectacular views. Will definitely visit again when I am back in South Australia.
Nice Cellar door with chatty amiable hosts and a lovely fire with a couple of very nice wice that came home with me as well
Visited on am April Saturday morning. We were the only ones there but had a great chat and tried some wines. We then sat outside in the sun and soaked in the view. Absolutley beatuiful- wish we could have gone to the spit night!!
Really lovely views as well as delicious fairly priced platters and wine. Home of the amazing wild witch Shiraz!
We stopped to sample the cider and sable and decided to share a platter for lunch. We ordered the meat platter and purchased some cheese to go with it. Sitting out in the garden, enjoying the view, eating delicious food and sampling some lovely pink bubbles, what better way to spend an afternoon.
We had a wonderful time at Kellermeister. The views of the area was beautiful. The wines we tasted were pretty good and the cider was just awesome. The minor letdown was the portion of the smoked meat platter was big but too salty to our liking.
Loved this winery. Very friendly, great wines and cider and lovely views over the valley ( very cooling on a hot day ). We didn't eat here but the platter menu looked good.
