The center was interesting but I felt it focused a little too much on the "victim" portion of the aborigines and not as much on their lifestyle and history. The huts were not indicative of how the aborigines actually lived and there was really not a lot of information about their lifestyle and their diet, etc. Also I felt the handicrafts were priced at a very high rate.

Do not miss this culturally moving place when visiting Uluru. The building itself is shaped like serpents and the information inside will amaze you in your own special way. While the walks are a must do the cultural centre is part of the whole experience.

This has some good information about the indigenous peoples of the Red Center and their stories and the film was excellent. The exhibits were so interesting that I wished we had had more time and also that we could have taken a couple of pictures (they are not allowed). Of course the walks take you through interesting trees and awe-filled spots to view the sacred site. Even though there are lots of people so it is not as silentas one might wish, it is still a powerful and moving experience. Take your fly net though because the black flies are vicious.

Cultural Centre is a building, where there is a lot of knowledge of Aboriginal people of these lands. You can learn about the history, the legends, the people and his costums. It is located near the Uluru Rocks and it is the perfect site to begin the visit at this sacred site. Moreover, in this building, there is information about the walks and the best sites to go in the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.

This well run centre is an excellent educational facility, highlighting native Australian culture history and culture.

We were very disappointed with the cultural centre after having walked around Uluru and then trecked back to the Cultural centre desperate for a cold drink to find everything had closed at 1.30pm. If you want people to learn the culture and visit then you need to cater for them in 41 degree heat. Even a drink vending machine would have been good. They could have made a fortune with all the tourists trying to find a cold drink. Make sure you take your own supplies as

Enjoyed looking at the local crafts but feel the prices were increased for tourists. It was still worth buying a momento.

On a trip to the rock do take this place in so put the bits together. I think it could be bettered but not commercialised. no pictures inside any of this place and so leave your cameras in the car. café was a disappointment as well when this is the only place for miles and miles. Anyway the history is what its about and it does an excellent job in explaining the culture and the rock. so Get a chance; look in and give your support.

When compared to the grandeur of Uluru and Tata Tjuta you may be tempted to bypass the cultural centre. This would be a mistake. You may not need (or want) to spend a lot of time here but there is valuable information to be gained by taking a slow walk through the centre.

This establishment is owned by 22 local Aboriginal communities in the area and is very well stocked with their traditional goods for sale. Being authentic, they are expensive, but there are some beautiful pieces - I bought a painting and my brother bought a traditional Wira (food carrier). There are cheaper souvenirs for sale also so that there is something for everyone.

The center informs us of the history, culture and lifestyle of the first people. Their beliefs and customs seem strange to modern day people but maybe they had it right. Mother Earth gave life and if you respected it and didn't misuse the gifts of nature you would survive. I enjoyed the chance to see their culture

the center was very informative and shows many aspects of traditions and life of the indigenous people. We learned a lot about the culture of the local tribes.

A great place to stop off, cool off, pick up the little $2 tourist info booklet to give you all the local information for the site :)Ice cream time, see the local aboriginal artists at work and the gallery of art too.An interesting location with good refreshments and friendly staff. Well worth. Visit :)
