This is a generational general store run by Jane Jewett and the Jewett family.A worthy step back in time to when your general store was the go-to placefor all your country needs. My needs are butter, milk, The Globe and Mail, the best cutbacon around, friendly conversation, Owl's Bread bread and the occasionalchocolate croissant. Bread comes in Friday through the weekend which offers the best chance for a Chocolate Croissant or my secret bread favourites but product is also through holidayseason.Why and the world are you stopping at Jewett's or as locals call it ... "Jane's" Because you are enjoying one the best lake drives in Canada, the blue cheeseat the Abbey, Solstice or skiing at Owl's Head, covered bridges, wild turkeys, funky houses and vistas around every corner ... ... after all this or for your journey stop at Jane's as Jewett's "is part ofyour journey."
