We've stopped in here before and gotten good information. This time the two staff members, who were on opposite desks, simply ignored all of the tourists, while talking to each other over their heads. There was no greeting or offer of help. I was annoyed. The saving grace was that the shelves were well stocked with free brochures.

We went to Banff for a family vacation. the kids and adults enjoyed the surroundings and hotelsThe weather ideal, the people very friendly and helpful. We never had a problem that couldn't be solved by asking someone. The scenery is unbelievable and can't be described with words. you have to see the natural beauty for yourself. The info center provided us with invaluable information regarding the area, hotels and places to eat. they helped make our trip memorable and enjoyable.

visit for information maps or make bookings. also has some large pictures of attractions. dropped in and had a look around but did not use services but if you has not booked all your time it is worth a visit to explore what esle is offered in the area to visit.

We liked that you could get your park pass at the information centre and the staff were so helpful. The hours of operation were an issue for us but we made it work.

As a skier, it was strange to go to Banff in January only to hear that it was more or less their "slow" season. A couple of the restaurants even mentioned to us that they would be closing early because business was slow. People at the visitor centre were friendly and offered me lots of information.

The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful with all things Banff, Lake Louise and the Banff National Park. They guided us to a great local restaurant. There isn't much for sale here, but it's less expensive that they shops and high quality. Bought a 'Boyd's Bear' Moose with a maple leaf on his foot which turned out to be a collectors item that wasn't sold anywhere else, so that was pretty neat.

Plenty of info on the local tourist spots and good friendly service as well. The local Resterauts are very good on service

There are very helpful and friendly staff here. They have a small gift shop if you are looking for affordable Parks Canada/Banff souvenirs. Clean washrooms and water fountain. However, this centre is not the same as the visitor centre in Lake Louise or Yoho National park where there are some things to look at/read/do. My kids loved all the interactive stuff in Lake Louise visitor centre so when we came to Banff and there was nothing to do it really surprised me. This isn't a bad thing, just if you are expecting a centre like what is in Lake Louise or Yoho you will be disappointed.

The maps were helpful and the staff knew their stuff. They knew locations, hours of operation, prices and satisfaction level. They were friendly and very welcoming.

Brilliant. The staff actually called accommodation places for us to help get a room for the night, and gave us best places to visit and to eat.
