These gardens are decorated so beautifully around Christmas time...it reminds me of a fantasy walk as seen at Disney Land... no admission, no lineup...just a peaceful walk through the gardens can take 5 minutes or 20 depending on how long you want to spend.

It doesn't take more than 10 - 15 minutes to stroll round but very well worth the effort. The gardens are well maintained with a large variety of plants to see. At Christmas the lights are truly lovely and plentiful. We go all through the year and always enjoy something new, We particularly like the pond and the turtles and fish!

I had never been to Park & Tilford Gardens before, so wasn't sure what to expect, but took my daughter just before Christmas to see their spectacular light display. It was quite amazing. The entire garden was decked out in Christmas lights. My daughter LOVED it. It may be smaller than Van Dusen, but if you are in the area it is well worth the visit at Christmas time with the kids.

The parking Tilford gardens were constructed has a little escape for staff who used to work at a brewery located on the land where the shopping center is now. The shopping center is in an L-shaped and in the corner is the gardens. As soon as you enter the gardens you forget what you have just left. There are flowers blooming from spring until fall and the people who take care of the gardens do an incredible job of keeping things in bloom all throughout the season. At Christmas the gardens are lit up with Christmas lights in a huge array of color and light. There is a whole section in the gardens that is a Japanese garden and is totally different from the rest of the gardens. As well there is a whole section of the gardens that are different from the rest in that it is a Rosegarden. It really must be visited because you just don't even know that it exists. And because you don't know that it exists the same is true when you enter the gardens you forget everything else outside. It's quite the little gem in North Vancouver.

Seems like they gave up heating the theatres this winter. Seen two movies in the last month and was so could nearly left. I understand its nice in the summer to have a cold theatre, but during the winter it was miserable.

If you are in the area and you wanna spend few minutes walkinf in a small but nice garden, go there. May you can have a sit a read a book for awhile. But I wouldn't go if you have to drive for more than few miles. Nothing special at all.

The gardens decorate for Christmas and this is a must visit attraction! First snow and off we go! Greta plant sales here in the spring by Friends of the garden. A chance to pick up all kinds of plants. BC natives to exotics all are here in lots of size ranges for a good price with your funds going towards the upkeep of the gardens.

A wonderful place to make memories, take photos and enjoy the wonderful variety of plants... beautiful rose garden.

Its like a little secret garden for family or individuals. Great for kids to explore. In the right season, it's a great place to take family photos. The one drawback is that it backs on to a noisy street.If you're at Park & Tilford it is worth a visit.

Nice and relaxing place. Great place for a little picnic. Nice maintained. Will come back. Nice place to read a book.

Pretty little garden that you wouldn't expect to see at a shipping centre.very nice for family outing at xmas. More for the local community not really a tourist attraction. Nice to share with visiting relatives. Nice to have, people's hard work shows.

I thought Park & Tilford was an intersection. Oops! Small and compact, tucked away in a corner of a small mall, it is a quiet respite for anyone. I'm glad I stopped by.

Gorgeous gardens are a pleasant surprise. Mature and well tended its definitely worth a visit. Japanese style garden included along with an English style rose garden, open door corridors and seasonal displays.

We did a quick walk through of the gardens this week as we will not be here when the Christmas display officially opens on Nov 29. When we visited last year the display was lovely, with many nooks and crannies beautifully decorated. It looks like it will be equally lovely this year. Admission is by donation so can be a Christmas treat for anyone. I strongly recommend a visit early on to top up your Christmas spirit. Bring the children- they'll love the Grinch area and the people dressed up as reindeer!
