There is plenty of space for the whole family, picnic tables, shade for when we do get the sun!My grandchildren love wading in the stream that winds through looking for tadpoles.loads parking which is FREE so makes for a great day out!
Been to Lowville Park, just off Guelph Line right in the heart of Lowville, across from the Lowville Bistro, and the park is just great. Plenty of space for families to run about and enjoy the outdoors. The river is a serene addition to the his small village park. Parking is available but limited.
This is a great park for company/ church picnics and geocaching. A nice stream runs through it. Some tobogganing in winter but dangerous with trees. Lacks a food outlet. Nearby restaurant is pricey.
We like to go to this park mid-week when school is in. It's quietest at that point and we can enjoy an idyllic hour sitting next to the brook with our tabletop BBQ making carbon out of a couple of weenies! Close to home for us and just a nice bucolic setting!
Lowville park is a great spot to take the kids and the dog for a nice long walk. The beautiful trails that wind over the creek and back again. The colors are fantastic here in the fall when the leaves change as well. There is a little playground here as well if you have younger children. We always enjoy a walk through Lowville park.
We bring our kids (ages 4 and 5) to Lowville park every couple of months and they always have a great time. They really enjoy wading in the creek and the playground is very good as well. Lots of picnic tables and shade trees. We usually pack a lunch but I have seen lots of families using the grilling areas to do their own BBQ. There is a bistro and ice cream shop across the road.
Enjoyed a morning visit to this park. We walked along the creek. I wish there was a place that was manufactured for entering the creek. I was worried about the kids slipping on the rocks. The park is super clean. The picnic tables were being super sprayed by staff when we there--very impressive. There was a huge hill that our kids ran up and down! The park was great and it is free!
I've been going here since I was a kid in the early 80's. There's a nice river, baseball diamond, bbq areas and all sorts of open and wooded areas to check out. It takes about 20 min. or so to walk around it if you stick to the main trail, but you could probably find an hour or so worth of things to explore if you kept walking around. However....if you happen to catch a day when there are a lot of groups...or just a nice weekend day, it can be extremely busy and not even worth trying to find a parking spot.
Good place for kids and family. There is a play ground for the kids. It is good for picnic and you still can barbque here compare to some parks is picnic only. Big fields for sports. A creek going through the park, no real fishing though. Free parking and no entry fee yet.
Enjoyed having a picnic there with friends last summer as well as going on a hike. The park can get very busy on the weekends in the summer with large groups there for picnics.
Lowville does not have the long trails that I like hiking but it is pleasant to walk along the river and take pictures of the bridges. On another part of the park, there's a small hill that children use in the winter for toboganning/sledding. There are a few picnic tables for friends and family to use during bbq season.
A small park but that offers everything...you could hike here, you could bbq here, enjoy the stream passing through.....
Lovely walk by the river. Benches to sit on and tables to enjoy a snack or have a picnic. Quiet and peaceful, but never far from the sound of the running brook.
This park is a great place for young and old. It has lots of picnic tables, lots of walking space. A creek to play in. There is tons to keep you busy on a Summer afternoon!
