Such a great hike, me and a couple of friends went after hiking up to the top of the mountain. So many different types of flora and fauna. Don't forget to bring a bathing suit to enjoy the cool waterfall!

We took this trail the second time we went to the falls. We preferred it bc it was wider, and less busy than the Tree Trail. The falls are very cold, pack a towel and wear appropriate shoes. We saw many people in flip flops and they struggled.

This was a fun stop-off point along the road, but I didn't feel like it was terribly unique. The waterfalls are beautiful but not extremely tall. Not a focal point of my visit, but if you're passing by, you might as well stop.

I can't believe how lovely this trail is. Hiking along the stream of the La Mina Falls proves to be elegant, accessible, and private. As most people rush through the path to get to the falls, step off the trail and get some scenic pictures in the rainforest as you'll experience hundreds of 0-6 ft baby waterfalls, brooks, flora, rocks and serenity.

Walked two trails on a January Monday. This one was very crowded. Falls are good but the hike down was mostly single file wet steps. The Park itself is worth a trip from San Juan but we could have easily missed this one.

This is not to be rushed , go with plenty of time and not hungry ,bring water and plenty film ,(an umbrella is a good idea)

Every time you hike the forest you see many things that you may have missed the first trip. Once you get out there it is hard to stop.

It is roughly a 45 minute trek down the mountain to get to La Mina Falls. Wear good traction shoes because the moist rock path can be slippery. Take water and wear your bathing suit so you can take a dip in any one of the swimming holes along the way. DOn't go if you have bad knees. Otherwise it was my fav thing to do and it is beautiful.

The path isn't wide, but the scenery makes it really worth the hike! A much easier trail to take than the Big Tree Trail, it is very steep, but if you can park at one end and come out the other, do both! Very worth it!

There was a waterfall at the end of the trail. Get in and swim! Make sure you can swim though, it gets deep in areas. It is also very forceful. But beautiful trail.

We hiked the trail to La Mina Falls. It was a manageable hike, be sure to wear athletic shoes. There were some challenging areas on the trail. But once you reach the falls it was worth the hike.

Trail is marked well and is completely paced. Even though the trail is made of concrete you still fill like your in the rain forest. The trail is easy but there are inclines. I'm fit so I found the trail easy, but others were complaining about the difficultly. I guess if you never exercise it could pose a problem. The trails to Britton tower and summit are much harder. But we did them all in half a day..

Enjoyed hiking the trail to La Mina Falls - I'm sure I didn't have the right shoes on and I was able to manage, was a bit warm but the dip in the falls afterwards fixed that right up!

This was one of the best experiences we've had on our trip to Puerto Rico. We hiked The Big Tree trail and it ended at La Mina Water fall. It's a fairly easy trail with some steep hills, but it's well worth the hike!

I really liked this waterfall, it was beautiful and we had fun playing in the water. It was quite crowded with other visitors on the day that we went, but that didn't make it less enjoyable. The walk to the falls was ok, but the walk back (uphill) was a bit much if you're out of shape or older. Additionally, I would recommend some type of non-slip foot wear if you want to go into the water, the rocks are very slippery. Go, just be safe :)
