parque peralta (parque de las flores)

Visited Parque Peralta on Cuba Inside tour. Very nice and clean park. There are a lot of shops, restaurants and bars, museums around the park. Nice place to get some shade and catch your breath :)

Almost 18 yrs ago to the day, I was in this park and I proposed to my wife Evelin in Spanish!!!!OK this is where we started our lives together!

This is a park where is usually full of people and a kind of transportation called.. bici-taxi...You must try this one..it is a bicycle with a seat attached on the side, it has a huge umbrella and music to your taste...very cheap if you want a tour for the parks..

A nice spot to sit down on a bench in the shade. There we met an old English teacher. He was very happy to talk to us and explained the sculpture at the end the park.

Visited here on my recent trip to Holguin, The park is more of a square in reality, quite picturesque with plenty of seating and a reasonable amount of shade the are several stalls selling flowers and trinkets and is surrounded by a number of cafe/bars and restaurants, Many of the locals gather here most are friendly and like to talk, there were a small number of beggars but if you politely told them no they went away. A great place to interact with the locals or just people watch.

Parque de las Flores is a pleasant park at the south end of the pedestrian Boulevard Libertad. The cathedral and a popular icecream cafe are at one end and flower sellers at the other.

The Flower Square as it's also known as. Stalls selling all sorts of flowers, some that I have never seen before. Wonderful floral scents wafting on the breeze. Beware......Beggar alert!!!Plenty of shade under the trees.

I loved the sculptures and historic feel about the place. We dined there, but it was noon hour and there was no show so we missed out on that. I'm told I should go back at night to see the dancers in costume while I have my meal. The view over the inlet on the ocean is ver attractive and romantic. A wonderful place for lovers just as much as for families to enjoy the cultural aspect.

This park is next to the casa particular where I stayed at. This park gives you such a nice look into the Cuban family lifestyle. Here you'll see the kids playing and riding bic. You can take you lunch and sit under a tree and have a relaxing afternoon.

Como todos los parque de la cuidad, tiene sus propios encantos que los hacen únicos. Las flores son bastante económicas... me gustó mucho un mural próximo...

siempre lo visité y es una lastima que lo recuerdo con pocas luces pero aún así su encanto en único y mejor que el Calixto García

En todos los parques de Holguín y de Cuba en gral. la gente se reúne y sociabiliza todos los días, especialmente los fines de semana. Me llamó la atención las hermosas rosas y flores, muy economicas, y la enorme glorieta. También recomiendo el parque de Cervantes donde encontrarán dos enormes esculturas de metal del Quijote y sancho panza y la Plaza de la Revolución, como el monumento al Che

Fue como un oasis en medio del sol abrasador, que ni el agua fria , ni la limonada frappe, pudo calmar!! bendito sea Dios, con su ventilador natural!!!
