dive little corn - day dives

i spent some time in LCI and i was diving almost every day, great dives. groups were small which is very good. all the team very nice and competent. highly recommendable!!

I took a refresherdive and fun dives and I was very pleased with this place. The instructors were very professional, immediately giving me the feeling of being secure, the equipment was fine, a well equipped boat to take us out to one of the fabulous locations off the island. Groups were small, four divers with one instructor and on top of that Manu, my instructor, looked to it that my buddy was a semiprofessional, taking into account that I am an old but not very experienced guy. I got what I had hoped for when coming to Little Corn! I realized everybody I met there was very pleased with the place and the team!

I spent about a week on Little Corn and primarily came for the diving. I did my Open Water Diver and then added some fun dives afterwards, and in no small part thanks to everyone at Dive Little Corn, had the time of my life. The instruction, dives, and everything else were very competent, but most importantly, Sandra, Sergio, and everyone else at DLC make you feel like you're among friends. Thank you! Oh, and of course the diving is great! Nurse sharks, rays, moray eels, lobsters, etc. - what a treat.

Saying it´s a good dive shop is little ! I made here my Open Water Dive Certification and could met almost everyone there, and saw the way they work, and for sure, i could say, that they are ALL very professional, very competent and fun to be with. From the first contact with the Manager Alberto, who helped us when we arrive at the island, finding a place to stay, to our GREAT instructor, Sandra, which was always available, patient and and above all, very competent. Everything went smoothly !This was the highlight of my Nicaragua trip.

Right on the beach, competent and friendly dive masters, lots of things to see under water -- sharks, sting rays, turtles, scorpion fish, flamingo tongues, puffer fish, cow fish, squid, lots of lobsters, moray eels. Had a great time.

As a PADI Instructor I have worked in various shops from big to small operations and this one is top notch. It requires a lot of organization and hard work to run a dive operation in Nicaragua at this level of quality. The dive leaders are very friendly and attentive. This is a "full service" dive shop which means that they will set up and do all the work for you setting up and carrying your equipment. All you have to do is have fun diving (and check your gear before they take it to the boat)! We did five dives with the company and enjoyed all the dives. We were with some beginning divers that I had brought and the dive leaders were on top of them the whole dive whenever something was wrong. At our request they did a trip out to Blowing Rock dive site even though conditions were sub-optimal. They also rented an additional boat for us since their main boat was full.Would especially like to thank Danilo and Sergio for a great experience.

We stayed at casa iguana, so we dived here because it is owned by the same people. The instructors were great, helpful, knowledgeable, spoke good english. Good equipment. Great value for money. Took less people out than dolphin dive which was nice. Would come here again no questions! Thank you for a great experience.

We’ll definitely be back here as diving on Little Corn is so easy. The maybe 25 dive spots are all between 2 and 10 minutes by boat from the dive shop (centrally located by the tiney main dock), with pretty good vis and temperature all day long (even in rainy season) and a great team! Also, the discounts DLC offers to ex-students is for life, making it cheap enough that you can keep going for almost as many dives as you want! After a course (ca. $270 for OW and $230 for AOW) every consecutive dive is $25 instead of $35 (besides the night dive) and SO worth it. Just make sure to get fully charged batteries in your torches for night dives - and enjooy!Don't bother comparing prices between shops, both main dive shops on the island charge exactly the same and are phenomenally cheap if compared internationally. Dolphin Dive might have newer gear and fewer clients than DLC, and yes, that might be a sign as criticised by others here, but the latter was exactly the reason why we chose to go with DLC! Also, DLC offers free diving and |PADI certification to locals, which is the best thing you can do to teach the local environment about their natural underwater assets and learn to value and market them even more.I did some of my most fun and spectacular dives ever here! - the sociable giant 2m green moray eel we call „seadragon“ at deepdive site long rock - adventurously tight and winding swim-throughs and caves with a 2m nurse shark at suenos and grant - exhilarating night dive at bouy with amazing bioluminescence/fluorescence accompanied by turtles, sting rays, cuttle fish, baracudas, reef and nurse sharks, shrims and 25+ huge remoras, some of them more interested in you than you in them - all with awesome awesome guides and captains - ...My brother did his Padi OA certification 1-on-1 with one of the best dive instuctors I've ever met, able to begin the same day (as opposed to 5 students on 1 instructor with the competitors at Dolphin Dive, only beginning 2 days later). Sandra the portuguese instructor was super thorough, very engaging and yet ultimately professional. This didn’t feel like a generically taught course, Sandra constantly analysed my brother’s progress, catering to his immediate needs and because he proved so confident and comfortable, took him for some really really cool first fun dives after certification, eventhough he was still fresh to diving. The team was so flexible that we could even do most certification dives together.After 50+ dives in Asia and the Middle East I decided to do my AOW here. Though it’s a course that’s done more for the certification card than the techniques you learn, it was so worth it! My instructor Manu was super uncomplicate, made each part of the course to a fun and knowledgable experience and improved my techniques dramatically.After our courses, we did a few more fun dives with Danielo, a young local divemaster, which were an absolut blast. He REALLY knows how to discover, play and have fun under water, while always respecting each individuals’ AND the wildlifes’ comfort zones. Dive here!

We were referred to this place by our hotel and were very pleased with our one dive. We dove at White Holes and saw lots of coral, fish, rays, an eel, and a few nurse sharks. The staff was friendly, our guide was good, and our gear was ok. The wet suits looked like they could use an update, but the water is so warm it didn't really matter. I wish we could have done a few more dives with this outfit.I would recommend this place to everyone because of its good service and great prices.

We dove with a group of 3 with Manu a couple of times. Decent equipment, good boat and great dive spots. We were 2 advanced and 1 OW divers. Would recommend this diving centre.

I was referred to Dive Little Corn by a friend that had completed his DMT with DLC several years ago. I had wanted to learn how to dive for some time but was reluctant to learn in a swimming pool. Little Corn Island was a great place for me to learn because almost all of the dive sites are relatively shallow and only a short boat ride from shore. I did my OW training with Tammy and continued with my AOW with Saundra as well as logging a lot of fun dives. I felt a great sense of community with the staff at DLC, my courses were always with a small group and DMT support, and often found myself dropping by the shop whenever I was passing by.

I have lived in Nicaragua for two years so I'm use to the way businesses are run here. I have also dove all around the world and experienced dozens of dive shops. I have a true passion for diving and I have never turned down an opportunity to dive when gven the opportunity, but there's always a first. I had been in communication with a woman named Mary from Dive Little Corn who was very friendly and seemed willing to make it a good experience. Unfortunately the moment I arrived all the customer service went out the window. I came across a manager who I believe was called Alberto and he was completely unfriendly and unhelpful. Where Mary offered to get us from our hotel to the dive shop, Alberto changed this and said we'd need to walk 40 minutes frm our hotel to the dive shop if we wanted to dive with them. This was sad because we timed the boat ride and it was less than 15 minutes, and Mary had already agreed to pick us up. In 90 degree heat you don't want to be walking 40 minutes either before or after a dive. And I hate a company that can't keep their word. But being from New York I'm not too sensitive and I understand a person can have a bad day. The next day I returned and came across Alberto again. I said, "hello, how are you doing today?" and his response was, "not very good." At that point he just turned away and ignored us. There is no way I could support a business that puts so little value in customer service. He was rude and obviously did not want to be working there. It was such a bad impression that we decided there was no way we'd give them our business. I thought it was strange that their competition had a full house for two days and Dive Little Corn had no clients...I now understand why. I have over 85 reviews and this is my first terrible rating, but well deserved. I hope they take this review and use it to better their business. It is the customers that make a business successful...and when you stop valuing them....it's time to move on or change.

...because I'd hate for it to become too popular & attract the hordes. Everyone at the shop was great to dive with and, after diving, they were fun to socialize with afterwards whether having dinner (or breakfast, in the case of Manu), drinks, or just shooting the breeze. Although there's no wall to speak of and the weather didn't allow us to get to the premier dive sites, the sites we did see were excellent. Highly recommend visiting...and make sure you have the lobster dinner at Bridgete's, right next door. Three excellent lobster tails for $10 can't be beat.

The most enjoyable couple of days I've had in Nicaragua were spent learning how to dive at Dive Little Corn! The staff at Dive Little Corn are all the loveliest people you could ask for, and at the same time professional and experienced. Manu, my diving instructor, made all tasks fun and helped everyone in our group feel comfortable and relaxed. Once certified Dive Little Corn also offered a good deal on subsequent diving. The only criticism I offer is that the owners could invest in some new wetsuits and fins, but then this did not really affect my diving, and the rest of the equipment was completely fine. I would highly recommend it, and if I ever visit again will without a doubt go diving with Dive Little Corn!
